Need exercise ideas for in doors

I need some advice on how to build up my muscle tone (chest+arms+abdominal muscles) and lose some weight while I am at home.

I have got a small dumbbell set (1.1kg, 2.3kg and 4.5kg dumbbells) and I would like to know how many I should be aiming to lift every day? Amount of time should I wait before doing another set?

I would like to know more exercises I could do to improve my muscles (chest+arms and abdominal muscles mainly). I don't want to go to GYM because I live far away from it and it is quite costly for me...

Thank you in advance!

Hi Bobby,

You can try all of the workouts on with dumbbells.

I train almost exclusively at home so it's entirely possible...hell, I'm fitter than most of the people that train in gyms!

Good luck

Hey Bobby.
If you want muscle toning try to aim to be sore and struggling to lift the weights around 12-15 reps. Thats the range for getting muscle toning.

The main exercises for building up your upper body are pushups. Do as many as you can. 2-3 sets. And Find a bar or something to door pull-ups. Those are the best 2 exercises to do in your own home.

Good Luck.

Training for muscle 'tone' is a fallacy.

as ppl above me stated you can find a lot of resources on the web for different workout exercises. i love using a fit ball for my workout, its cheap and you can use it for various exercises. but try to make a full body workout at home with your equipment :)

The best thing to do at home is pull ups , push ups and sit ups . Rope climbing is another good source of working out at home .
