Okay so I just started doing deadlifts for the first time today since I heard that it is such a good excercise and I had a couple questions.
My first question is that when I do deadlifts, I can tell that it is working my whole body because I get tired after, similar to squats. But I was wondering which parts of my body I should be feeling a burn in. Currently I feel it the most in the muscle in my upper back right between my shoulder blades, since I am trying to keep my back straight and stable. Is that normal? Just want to make sure I'm not doing anything wrong because I heard it's supposed to work legs and lower back. I don't think I went too heavy, since it was only 95 pounds that I was lifting, but it might have been heavy because I've never done deadlifts before. Just curious as to why I didn't feel it much in my legs and lower back, I'm thinking my legs are stronger than my back and my back needs to catch up or something, since I squat 165 but only deadlift 95... Any advice would be appreciated.
