So I've been lurking here for a while now:eek: .And having viewed a lot of diaries I've seen the wonderful support and advice that is given here.(Sometimes even a gentle push:p )And I decided to finally start my own.

I'm a 22 year old Aussie gal, with an amazing Fiance, but have never really been comfortable within my own skin.I've always been 'the fat one'.Bigger then everyone else.My parents are awesome, but their jobs were very time consuming,so we always seemed to get 'easy' fast food meals that were loaded with crap!It was great as a kid....but now it doesnt seem so great!

Ideally I'm looking to lose around 30 pounds,if I continue doing the plan I have set out to do this should take me 3 months. So Im looking at achieving this goal around the end of December, start of January.Just in time for New Years!;) yay!

I have previously lost 44 pounds, and gained 22 back.So I want to lose that weight again, and them some.I admit this wasn't in the healthiest of ways,so thats why I gained it back so quickly.
This time is completely different tho.I'm dedicated to reaching my goals, researched weight loss (hence the lurking!)and have discovered, surprise, surprise;) ,weight loss is entirely mathematics, and I will try not to treat this as a diet anymore....Im changing my lifestyle for ever!
I'm going to replace the unhealthy junky, comfort food I used to consume with a healthier option, watching calories as I do so.I'm aiming for around 1200 cals a day.I take our puppy dogs walking each morning for around half an hour, and have joined a gym aswell.I met the trainer last week and have started various weights and strengthening excersises to build muscle. After this I do around about 40 cardio.Ideally I'm looking at weights and cardio 3 days a week, and cardio an extra 2 days.

I have the support of my amazing Fiance thruout the journey(he's even joined the gym with me to keep me company).

So today was quite good actually...
Breakky-210
Morning Tea-200
Lunch-355
Cup of tea-30
Dinner-373
Total Cals-1168

I cant believe how well I'm doing.I'm over at my parents house right now, they've just been grocery shopping and their house is packed to the brims with chips, chocolates and such.Mum just asked me if I wanted some cheescake, and the thing is I dont really want any!I mean it would be nice, but it would ruin all my hard work.

Excersise
25 mins excersise bike
30 mins weight training
30 squats
15 mins step machine
20 min walk with the dogs

Welcome to the forum!!! It sounds like you've got everything planned out and are ready to go! Good luck!

Welcome to the boards hon!! And welcome to your diary!! This is a great place. I slip every once in a while but I jump right back into it.

Thanks for the welcome Katie!Hopefully I will be able to stick to the plan as well as I have mapped it out!
I know what you mean about slipping Sara Maria.Unfortunately it seems with me whenever I slip up just one teensy little I find redemption in the bottom of an empty ice-cream carton.

What I've started to do is go for the water...drink until it starts to fill me up and then I go for a walk. Or I find something for my hands to do. I've knitted quite a few scarves that way. It doesn't always work, like when I'm outside of home and haven't got my stuff with me, but I believe you can do it.

Thanks Sara MariaKnitting is a great tip for idle hands! My mum is an amazing knitter(she even had her own shop where she would sell her knitted baby clothes) and I've always wanted to learn, but havent had the patience.
I love the idea of when my tummy grumbles saying no,then creating a peice of clothing from scratch.

I should send you some of mine. Hahaha. I have so many colors in scarves its hilarious. I think its a great idea for you to give it a try. YOU CAN DO IT!!!
