So since it has been a while since I have been on here I decided that I would start a new thread instead of dragging up the old one.

My Name is Priscilla, I am 21 yrs old

1. What is your current height and weight?
My Starting weight was 168.
My Current weight is 160.8
My Height is 5'4

2. If you were at an ideal weight now, what would that weight be?
I believe my ideal weight is around 125 ish

3. At what weight would you like to be at four months from now?
I would like to be down to 135, which is a loss of 25 pounds

4. Why do you want to lose weight?
Number one reason is to look better and feel more confident.
Reason 2 is health. I am not so overweight that my fat is causing me any health concerns but the bad food I am eating is what I am concerned about.

5. Do you want to lose weight for a specific life event such as wedding or reunion? If so, when is that event?
If Summertime is an event then yes, haha. I would love to be able to proudly wear a bikini during the summer.

6. What obstacles could get between you and your weight loss goals?
Definately my laziness. I love to sit in front of the couch and do nothing. And when I am bored like that I like to eat.

7. Why do you think that you now have a weight problem?
Same answer as for question 6

8. What lifestyle changes do you think would help you lose weight?
Eating better and exercising. Forcing myself not to be so lazy.

9. Have you lost weight in the past? If so, what has worked in the past to help you lose weight?
I have lost some weight in the past. I lost it with eating better and exercising

10. Why do you believe that you did not lose weight or you gained the weight back?
I gained it back because I lost my will power. I couldn't stop myself from eating of sitting on the couch.

11. What, if anything, has not worked for you in the past in helping you to lose weight? Why do you think it did not work?

12. Would you try writing down all food and drink consumed for a given period of time?
Right now I am trying to keep an accurate diary including measurements, weight, and food.

13. Do you cook at home often? If so, what do you cook?

14. How often do you go out to eat? Where do you go?
I eat out very little but I usually go to a pasta type restaurant

15. What are your three favorite foods?
Perogies, Ice Cream, Alfredo Pasta

16. What are your three favorite restaurants?
East Side Marios, Tim Hortons, Edo Japan

17. What are three things you can do differently when it comes to food?
Smaller Portions, Don't eat after 7, Less junk food

18. If you woke up tomorrow and your body was exactly the way you want it, what would be different?
When I know I look good, I feel more confident. There are times now even when I do look in the mirror all gussied up and like what I see. And when that happens I can smile at the cute boy across the room and strike up conversations with people I wouldn't have before. Being able to wear whatever I like would be great too.

19. Do you eat when you are not hungry?
Yes
20. Do you binge eat (large amounts at a time)?
Sometimes

21. Do you hide your food or eat in secret?
Yes

22. Do you eat when you are sad, nervous, or depressed?
Yes

23. Do you eat as a reward?
Sometimes

24. Do you eat while watching TV or using the computer?
Watching TV, yes. Using the computer, very rarely

25. What do you normally eat for a meal?
Breakfast is a bagel, Lunch is a donair, supper is pasta or potatoes and some kind of meat, maybe some corn

26. What type of snacks do you eat?
Popcorn, Baked goods

27. In terms of exercise, what, if anything, are you currently doing?
Now I am back to going to the gym doing free weights and cardio

28. Where do you go for exercise? A local public gym? School/work gym? Home?

29. What, if anything, are your three favorite types of exercise?
I really like the step classes but unfortunately they don't run too much when I can make it out there. I like doing bicep curls because I am naturally a bit muscular and I love to see that muscle work haha.

30. What is your daily/weekly/monthly/yearly motivation to move towards your goals?
The main thing to motivate me is looking better, specially come summer. Another motivation is just my knowing I can accomplish something like this.

31. Do you have rewards for certain goals?
Ok, I have thought of one reward. When I reach my final goal weight,I am going out and purchasing the cutest bikini I can find.


Sorry this is so long haha.

So My plan now is just to eat better by watching my portion sizes and what type of food I eat. I think if I tried to count calories everyday or weight everything I ate I would not stick to this so easier is better.
I also plan on going to the gym atleast 3 times a week doing weights and cardio.

Upper Arm: 11"

Abdomen: 39"
Hips: 41"
Thigh: 26" (I think)
Calf: 15"

My Measurements for starting back up now are

I have added pictures. The ones on the right should be from when I started in November 07, Weight 168. I got off track and have restarted very end of Dec 08- beginning of January 09. So the second set of shots is me at 8 pounds less than the first set, weight 160.

So far things have been going really well. Even with a couple New Years parties and an addition Turkey Dinner I have stuck with it. I have gone to the gym 3 times this week and am going tomorrow as well. I am hoping to lose 2 pounds this week but I would be happy with anything.
 
Still doing great. I went to the gym 4 times last week, 3 times doing weights and cardio and once just doing cardio. I have been eating well and am starting to feel fuller even from smaller meals.
Went to the gym at 6 this morning and worked out before work with morning. Did weights and cardio. I get to weight myself wednesday morning to see if I have lost any.
 
So it's a little over a full week since I started. I have started to go to the gym in the morning which I think I actually prefer. Not only do I get it done and over with before work so my evenings are free (well I still have to ride my horse in the evenings but other than that it's free) but once I get to the gym I forget that it is the morning so I don't feel tired, and as soon as I get to work I 'forget' that I have ever even done the workout. It does suck a bit to get up early but not too bad.
I did weight myself in this morning, but I had a late meal of heavy foods yesterday, and though I kept my portions right I think it still might have messed of the scale so I am gonna weigh myself again tomorrow and see if today's number was more or less the same or if it is actually different.
 
So I weighed myself this morning and my official weight is
159.2 lbs which means I have lost 1.6 lbs. Not terribly happy with that. My first week I should have been able to lose 2 lbs! At this rate I will only lose 6.4 lbs this month. But I will keep striving to work hard and lose the weight, hopefully it will pay off more next time.

So I have had a few light slips the past couple of days. I had one cookie last night and 2 this night. I was gonna allow myself the one last night because it was the day of the weigh in so I wanted to have my 'cheat' right after I weighed in then so I had the longest amount of time to work it off before the next weigh in. But today I just couldn't stop myself, and I forgot that we are getting cake tomorrow for my dad's b-day. arg. if I hadn't had these cookies I would have been ok with me having a tiny sliver of cake but now I know I shouldn't have any.
On the plus side I still have been doing all my workouts and plan on doing one tomorrow as well.

Thanks. I finally broke the bought of slip ups I have been having lately which makes me happy. Still going to the gym as well. Next weigh in is Thursday morning, tho with how little I lost last week and the fact that I had some slips this week I am not looking forward to it terribly much. I just have to really work hard now till then so I still hopefully loose a bit
 
Tomorrow is my weigh in. I am not too hopeful just b/c I haven't done as well this week as I did last week, and last week I followed my plan very well and only lost a very small amount so we will see what happens
 
WAH!! So I was right not to be hopeful, I stepped on the scale this morning and I was 158.6! That's a loss of only 0.6 lbs!. Arg! So this week I am gonna eat SOOO good and workout SO hard that I best lose some more weight. Last week I had a few small cheats but I still worked out 4 times.
My mom who is a lot older than me and a bit lighter than me has lost 5 POUNDS in the same amount of time I have lost 2.2 pounds and we are doing about the same things!

UGG! I did horribly this weekend. I had the house all to myself this weekend so had no one to encourage me not to eat some things and the cravings just got the best of me. I also had planned to go running atleast twice and I never even went once. But I will be forcing myself to go to the gym tomorrow morning before work! and I will eat good the rest of the week.
 
Yay! So I had a really bad week this week. Didn't eat good, only exercised twice, so I was not looking forward to stepping on the scale this morning BUT I lost a pound! An entire pound! So very happy!. Though I really need to step it up hard if I am going to make my mini goal!

So I am heading back to the gym tomorrow. My mom is back from vacation and knowing that I have to go with her is very motivating and nice.
I had a bit of a better weekend but still had some oopsies.
I won't be able to make my mini goal as I only have 6 days left but I am hoping to get down another pound by my next weigh in which is January 29, then hopfully another 2 pounds by the next weigh in, Feb 5.

So my new mini goal is 155 by Feb 5
 
I really feel on track again.
I ate really well yesterday, went to the gym and did my weights (upper body) and cardio (20 mins arc, 10 mins Elliptical).
During the evening I was so tempted to go grab a slice of the birthday cake we had left over from yesterday but I shut that down! Yay.
Today is usually a day when I don't go to the gym but I really want to make my mini goal coming up on Feb 5 so since I didn't have a good start to this week I got myself to the gym and did 45 mins cardio (15 mins treadmill, 15 mins Elliptical, 15 mins Arc) I like the treadmill and Arc best from being able to get my heart rate up.
I have eaten well so far today and am really trying to drink lots of water (when I wanted the cake yesterday I filled myself with water instead)

We also talked to a personal trainer today. She has 2 spots open in the mornings but in the spring, summer and fall I have horse shows and so thursday or friday mornings would often not work but maybe we could work around it somehow.

Weigh in is coming up in a few days (thursday) and I am hoping I lost a pound!
 
Did a good hard work out today. Did lower body weights and cardio. Unfortunately the cardio got cut a bit short due to running out of time before needing to be at work, so instead I tried to bump up intensity.
Tomorrow is my weigh in and I hope I did well. I know the beggining of the week wasn't great but I am hoping for one pound.

Also I measured myself last night and I have lost 2"

Arm:11"
Chest:37"
Waist: 33.5" (-.5")
ABD: 35" (-.5")
Hips: 39.5 (-1")
Thigh: 25.5"
Calf: 15"
 
I MADE MY ORIGINAL MINI GOAL!!!
I stepped onto the scale this morning praying to see 156, instead I saw 154!!!! yay!. That is a loss of 3.6 pounds in ONE WEEK!!!! I had to double check it to make sure it was right and it was!

Today was an ok day.
I didn't eat QUITE as well as normal, but I don't think I exceeded my calorie limit.
The only real bad thing I ate was a cupcake. I had wanted to try these 'famous' cupcakes since last summer and finally had the opportunity. It was really good but I didn't finish the whole thing so I was happy about that.
I bought a couple dvds. One is a dance dvd and the other is yoga. Not terribly impressed with either. I wanted more of a hip hop dance video and this one was more jazzy and i only had a little bit of sweat and didn't really feel my heart rate get raised too much, but it was better than sitting on the couch so that was good.
I was in a bit of a bad mood around supper time so I was tempted to have some kind of sugary drink to soothe my nerves but I was able to turn that thought around and just had more water.

Worked out hard this morning. Did upper body weights and 30 mins cardio split between the Arc (20 mins) and the Elliptical (10 mins).
Yesterday we went to the movies then out to supper so it wasn't a great day. We had a pass for the movies that also included free popcorn and pop. I only had a few handfuls of popcorn and tried not to have too much pop.
I immediately packed away half of my supper so I didn't eat so much.
