My Workout/Goals...am i on the right track?

hey,

I'm 16 years old and 78kg and 6ft 2. i am currently doing weights 3 times a week and cardio 3 times a week on the days off weights. I have a bit of a gut and love handles that i want to lose, but i also want to gain alot of muscle.

My workout involves bicep curls, tricep extensions, shoulder presses, upright rows, front and side raises for deltoids, clean and press, squats, bench press and flys. on each i do 3 sets of 12, 3 times a week. is everything ok here?

my diet involves:
Breakfast:
2 weetbix and milk
Protein shake

snack:
Apple
Banana
Museli Bar

Lunch:
Sandwitch
Museli Bar

Snack:
Tin of Tuna
Banana or Sandwitch

Dinner:
Pasta with meats or rice and meats or salads

Snack:
Fruit.

Is this a good diet for my aims?

It's gonna be hard to lose weight and gain a lot of muscle at the same time, you either gotta be losing and toning up or bulking up and gaining. If you do lose weight though, you can still gain muscle definition because you will be getting rid of the fat.

I would also try to split up your routine rather than doing everything on one day 3 times a week. Change up your sets and reps too, eventually, if you keep doing the exact same thing, your body won't see much in the way of growth because it'll become used to doing the same thing. 12 reps is ok for a warm-up set, but try to work up to some lower reps for each exercise.

Also, where are the back exercises?? As you have it now, you don't have any at all, chin-ups and pull-ups are great, rows, if you have a barbell you can do bent over rows, same with dumbbells. If you know how to do deadlifts, try them out too, your lower back will thank you.

ok,
so say i want to tone up and lose weight first am i on the right track?

so after i have lost the weight i can the bulk up with muscle? is that cool?
cheers

ive just switched to a 3 times a week circuit training, where you do 4 groups of 2 resistance exercises, but do short burts of high intensity cardio between.

Its fantastic for fat burning and also works the muscles, and is a good balance between your goals.
