My Words of Motivation

Hello there,

I joined this forum around five months ago, the time of my short life where I was feeling really down about myself. I called myself fat, and hated looking in the mirror. I used to play the drums on my belly, and it actually made a good sound.

But tummy sounds aren't a good enough reason to remain playing on the playstation, I needed to get up off my arse and get active again. So....

I did.

It was hard, it will ALWAYS be hard. Working out, is known as a work out, not just a walk in the park, and that isn't what I realised when I begun my fitness. I struggled for the first week, I couldn't stand having no chocolate, no coco pops, no standard milk, and I definately couldn't stand the sore legs. But I kept going, stuff the fatty food, stuff the standard milk, and stuff the playstation.

It worked.

I have reached the ideal weight for my age and height, and everything I did costed me no extra money than what I would be using if I wasn't on the diet, actually I was costing my family LESS at the end of each month you know, less playstation equals less power usage, less fatty food equals cheaper food bills (although some low fat foods are around the same price as normal foods).

I know that you can do it also, all that you need to know, is your limits. Don't run an extra kilometer if you know that you won't be able to walk the next day, don't starve yourself, and drink heaps of the amazing stuff called water, free from a school tap near you.

One thing that I said to myself when I started my dieting, was "all the people saying how amazing it is, their smaller than me, so of course it's easy for them", but I was big back then too, now it IS easy. You just need to go through the hard yards now, it isn't easy starting something new, an example of this is driving, when I started I always stalled, bunny-hopped the car, now I'm excellent at it. It's the same with the exercise, it is easy for me now, I can walk around the block with the dog leash in one hand, and a bottle in the other. Oh and I must say, dogs LOVE walks.

If you've tried all that you can, and still can't manage to loose the last few Kg's, or the first pound, just don't ever consider giving up. When I gave up, all of the exercise was for nothing, and I had to work it off all over again. Just always do the best that you can. and don't take the shortcut.

I hope that I have motivated somebody, just like how weight-loss.fitness.com did for me. I wish a good luck to everybody beginning exercise, as it doesn't matter how big you are, how old you are, or how young you are...

...because it can be done.

Heres an even better picture to this day,

Updates:

Met a girl who was a bit of a bum. We didn't eat very often, usually just smoking and partying, not the ideal way to stay healthy. I dropped all the way to a shocking 67kg (remember, starting weight 88.9), just 1KG above my brother who is a stick. I was shocked, so I decided to start work out again to get my fitness up, and eat proper meals. A couple of weeks later I weigh 72, my ideal weight.

It's always possible to get to your desired weight, heck even look at the people on those game shows. You may not get money at the end of your diet, you may not be world famous, but you'll look into the mirror in your favourite jeans and think... nice! . Shortly after follows the cheesiest smile in the world.

Keep trying, don't give up. This is for the best.
