My Wild Weight Loss!

This diary is going to be my wild weight loss ride!!

I am getting married in only two short weeks and I want to look my best and keep the weight that I lose-OFF! I have been slowly SLOWLY losing weight for about 4 years (only about 25 pounds have come off in that period of time.)

Juggling my busy life is never easy as almost anyone can relate to! I am a college student, rock climber, and a freelance videographer. For that reason, I'm always on the go!

Where I am now:

I have been doing GREAT keeping my food log, which I started when I found this site about a week ago. I have been diligent about my recently added green smoothies in the morning and making sure I drink LOTS of water. I rock climb 6 days a week, lift weights about 3-4 x a week, and make sure I go on runs at least 3 of the 4 days that I lift to cover the muscles rock climbing does not target. After hitting a plateau for the past few months, I am ready to move forward and use this online diary to track my progress and stay on track!!! Here's to lighter days;P.

Congratulations on getting married Haley! Welcome to the forum :) Don´t go too crazy the days/weeks just before the wedding; having the energy to enjoy it is more important than two extra kilos off.

Welcome to the forum! It sounds like you are very fit! Plateaus can be tough to get through. Perseverance is the key. You will get through it!

Hi Haley & welcome to the diary section of WLF. It sounds to me like you have a very busy, active life & fat wouldn't stand a chance. Well done on slowly reducing your weight over 4 years. That takes lots of determination. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding. LaMa is right. Don't cut your calories down too much just before your wedding as you need the energy to get through what will be a big day. Happy days xoxo

Thanks everyone for the encouragement!!

4 days until the wedding and I am super excited! I got a bike as an early wedding present so I have been riding that every day, as well! I have been eating blended banana protein ice cream toward the evening as I wind down and they are the best thing ever! I am dairy/animal product free so here is my recipe for if you guys ever need a clean snack!

(2 servings)
2 frozen bananas(peel then freeze)
1 cup unsweetened coconut or almond milk
A heavy shake of cinnamon
2tbsp cacao nibs (unsweetened)
2scoops espresso protein powder (I use The Garden of Life vegan protein)
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
2tbsp unsweetened peanut butter (I actually use pb2 powder instead of pb)

Stick all of it in a blender EXCEPT THE CACAO NIBS and go!! Blend her on up until she's smooth and swirl in the cacao nibs. I usually stick it in the freezer for like 2 hours and stir it after about an hour just to get a nice ice cream texture instead of pudding.

Probably not going to be able to exercise as much the next few days so here's hoping I don't get too cranky before the wedding on Sunday ;). Wish me luck!
