On 10 January 2011, I weighed a whopping 98kg. I was shocked and decided to do something about it pronto! I was also going through a very tough break-up and needed to do something for myself... something drastic (To prove to myself that I am not a complete loser :nopity:)

1) I ate less
2) Cut down significantly on unhealthy snacking from chocolates, crisps etc
3) I started making healthier food choices ( I even ate spinach and broccoli!!)
4) I started walking 45 mins every morning
5) I drank between 1.5 and 2.5 litres of water a day

By week 3 my clothes started feeling a little lose and fitted better.

I have just finished 6 weeks on this 'program' and have lost 6kg. I am not thrilled about this as I feel i put in more effort than the outcome. Also, with at least 30kg to lose, i need to lose a little faster.

1 kg a week is a healthy rate...i wouldnt lose more than that - otherwise it could come back and your skin will say thanks too if you keep it a 1 kg a week.

Congrats on your current weight loss! You're doing it the healthy way!

the pounds did get put on over night, so it's going to take time to lose it :)

I'm sorry you're in a bit of a slow phase- but it happens to all of us! All you need to do is keep going! If you keep eating right and exercising (and drinking water), you'll notice it!!

Have you taken your measurements also? I noticed inches dropping quicker than pounds :)
