My Weight

Weight: 260
Height:5' 11"

I've just started on my life style make over, lol I don't like the word 'diet'. I have spent sometime looking over tips to change my body. Any advice would be appreciated! :) I am looking to loose about 100 lbs, but over the course of how my life has been going over the last couple of weeks, I'm ready to tackle this. I think that having this on here will really help me, it's like having someone to answer to! Thanks in advance, there are some really awesome and postive, which i need, people on here. Some of the people that I know, think that negative attitude will produce positive results, my husband is one of them. :( Again, thanks

Sara

Aha, good luck! :D

Just dig deep and stay focused in the dark times. The moments when you realise "This IS working!" more than make up for it.

And good line of thought.

Diets = Don't work.

Lifestyle change & goals = makes all the difference.

I've lost over 4 stone since last November (58lbs). So just stay patient, and remember it is possible.

It's a great day to be alive!

Thanks for the encouragement Fly! Congrats on your loss! That only sounds good in here huh? lol I'm looking forward to the results.

yeah, true, stay focused, change your life style, try to be active in your regualr life, evry day, do good cardios, try to adopt some cardio in your daily activities like a take long route when ur walking, like wise....I just started to lose weight too, in last 12 days I lost 8.5lbs :D...I know its always easy to shred of the first few kilos...but still I guess I am on the right road...so will be there one day. :)

All the vesy best.......

Congrats sara on making this kind of commitment to yourself. I know what's like - I'm around 260 now, but this is down from 344 last year. It CAN be done if you keep yourself focused and motivated. Don't ever think in terms of "diet" - you'll fall short every time. Like you hinted at in your post - this is a lifestyle change - something you'll be doing indefinitely, if you want to be healthier (and happier). My first trainer told me it's 80% nutrition, 20% working out - and I'm inclined to agree. Feed your body healthy foods at regular intervals - spreading out your calories to 5 or 6 meals a day. As for working out, I've found an interdisciplinary program of weights, cardio, balance and flexibility has been effective in bringing my weight down - details can be found on my diary (misposted in the women's section).

It will take a while, and will be a lot of hard work, but you can do it.

Best of luck to you. I too am down around 50 pounds in the last 7 months. It takes a lot of hardwork and good discipline, but in the end the results are completely worth it. Good luck and keep us posted.
