my weight loss diary! im a beginner!

i find really good that you are taking care of your health at a young age, now is the time where you can get good healthy habbit going.

I am a bit worried about the fact that you don't includ alot of vegies in your meals. I used to be like that the only way to actually like vegies is to eat them. Try them in different way you can eat them raw with low fat dip or in a salad or steam or baked you can try different spices on them...You should give youself the goal of eating 1 portion of vegies a day and as u get used to it add two. Don't forget your proteines they give you a energy and your body needs those feed your muscles, you can get your proteines from nuts and legumes as well as meats!!
Keep up the good work you can do it!!!!

ya im glad too that im finaly taking that step to a heallthier lifestyle...was so unhappy before.. it led to bulimia/ednos :( .. and i had to break that cycle... and i did.. a few months on im dieting healthy and appreciating the effort involved.. also not craving foods as much :)

as regards to veggies... ewww, i hate them...never ate them b4 my diet..cant bring myself to eat them now! blah!:ack2:
the only veg i like is PEAS.. and there not much i can eat them with ! .. not that im complaining :p . . .

protien... damn i know im not eating enough protien.. chicken is high in protein tho (isn it ? ) i know eggs are full of protien too ! i really cant think of any more foods with high protien that i like (im not great on protien knowledge :S )

if your interested.. ive always been a picky eater.. deserts, veg, most fancy choco (plain is da best), white sauces, cheese when it isn melted, only eat one brand of ham, jelly and ice cream, cream, red meats (most of em), etc.. ill think of more soon... but as you can see my diet has never been very varies...

dont and cant eat nuts... got an intolerence to them that could lead to an allergic reaction :O !!

i really like soy milk (when its flavoured :D ) .. wudn put it in my tea tho!!hehe

i think since most of my meals contain chicken i shud be alri (i hope)!.. altho i never have any at breaky .... and on a skul day i eat rice cakes blah! for lunch!!

o ya i drink a load of water... have done for years..! i have to drink it now especially cos it and tea are teh only things i can drink on my diet!! :O

my cousin is a nutrirtonist so i gonna get her to check over my diet :)

ahh had work exp again today...was up at 9 and was out doors for the first half of the day cleaning :willy_nilly: was really disgusting stuff haha...

i failed miserably in my plan to go on a 6-8 mile cycle wit my da dis morn! i slept in:(
however, i will defo try and do it tomor cos i dont have to leave till 20 past 10!!..

i skipped breaky dis morn since i slept in(but i did have tea;)).. so i didn eat till about half one! altho when i ate i did make my self the most gorgeous panini..yum yum! (peperoni and mozzarella)

im gna have such a bad food day tomor... goin on a skul tour that involves stoppin at mcdonalds! ahh.. .but i cant wait cos itll be yummy!!

tuesday 9th feb
ciabatta wit 6 pieces of pepperoni and 55grams of mozzarella- 421 cals
70grams dry crunchy nut cereal- 278 (this is partially a guesstimate cos i weighed fifty grams and had 2or 3 small handfuls)
2 egg whites fried on the Goerge Foreman- about 34 cals
5 cups of tea- 219cals
total 952 cals

please note- will prob eat more as im kinda peckish!

EDIT.. i ate half abag of micro popcorn.. so add another 240cals
and yup...overbudget :(

keep up the good work! You posted a few days ago how little the food you packed in looked like but it was the same amount you usually aate..here's a tip: Buy a smaller container. It'll look fuller and you'll be even more satisfied, rather than looking at a half empty plate :)

LOL ... believe it or not...the container was the smalest i had.. it was about 3-4cm sqrd... thanks for the tip tho :D..

wednesday 10th feb
weetos and low fat milk... 161cals
6nuggets, 1/2 a portain of twisty fries,2bbq sauce- 606cal.. probably more :O
40gm crunchy nut cereal dry- 159 cals
1/2 ciabatta,25gm red cheddar,3pieces of pepperoni- 202 cals
3cups of tea,curly wurly, milk in tea,2tsp candarel -275 cals
total- 1403cals over by--- 236cals :eek2:

ughh... so not happy with today...!:ack2: but its only one day .. i still have a lifetime to be healthy!:D

i have made a decision (influenced by one responder)... To STOP taking sugar in my tea!.. its gna be hard but i gna use Canderel.. (only 1.9cals per teaspoon unlike sugars 16cals).. its defo not as nice as sugar but close enuf for me to survive on...I HOPE!!

more importantly weigh day is Saturday... and although i got a new scales.. it keeps changing everytime i step on it.. like within a minute it can go up or down 1-2pounds... so i dont really know my actual weight :(..
regardless.. i will weigh myself 3 times sat morn and get an average... i hope to god im down.. cos so far im not :(

thursday feb 11th
3 egg whites - 51 cals
ciabatta- 202 cals
2waffles and 1/2 tin of spag - 330 cals
1toasted cheese sandwhich - 248 cals
crunchy nut (questimate calories) - 278 cals
tae - 128 cals
1 digestive biccy - 70 cals
total- 1317 cals overbudget- 150cals

However,i did do about 3 hours of yardwork.. so that should cover some calories..

bahh i dont wanna weigh myself! itd be too depressing :(

but tomors another day.. and ill works hard...even tho i have work exp :(

plan on going swimming saturday morning(i have to travel 40min to get there).. i think they have a gym so ill go there too.. wish me luck :D
 
Hello :seeya: I find your journal hard to read at times because of the short forms you use - must be an age thing. I sometimes have to read a line over twice before I pick up what you are trying to say. You must txt message a lot and that is why you like short forms?
I can't believe you got upset one day for going over your planned calories by 236! That's nothing! It takes 3500 calories to gain a pound so I think you are good! Also if you did some physical activity for 25 minutes you would have burned that off. You have to keep in mind it's a lifestyle you are creating for yourself and there will be days you go over your calories and days that are under but if you stay consistent it will all even out - don't stress too much about it because I find it's too hard to keep it up for life that way. Good work so far though - keep it up.
 
Wow... Cant believe its been nearly a year since i wrote on this... Basically my weight went to 140lb (10st) and nw its up around the 147lb mark..
I have NOT been healthy..
I need to get back into proper dieting because my bulimia is coming back after a year of freedom..ive been getting overstressed with exams and dealing with some personal issues and now all i can think about is controling something in my life.. But i wanna do it the proper way. I dont want to keep giving in to my ed.
I know that most people wil probably say that dieting with an ED isn advisable but i think (hope) it will distract me from my urges and guilt if i feel healthy.
These forums helped me alot last year when id get tempted or have a temporary relapse so hopefully they'll help again. Seeing people lose weight succesfully, happily and healthly encourages me to do the same.
So i am going to start tommorow. Ill diet healthly and kick bulimia and my weights ass! :D
