Have you seen a doc about your knees yet? Glad to know you are walking rather than running. When my joints were really troubling me I started regularly drinking apple cider vinegar, which is supposed to help with acidity. It worked for me, but I don't know if there is any legitimate science to it. Motrin might also help!

Thanks! I have been trying to stay within my diet but I work in an office enviroment and Everybody eats at exactly 12 (noon) and it smells sooooooooooooo gooooood lol! I guess I am the only one who is trying to eat healthy where I work.

Anyways today was kinda easy. I was not hungry at all and went to the gym, If I can only do this for life It would be awesome.

i started off around the same time as u and am around 215 now(was 260). I know what ur saying about other people eating around u at the same time because im a sophomore in high school so its kinda hard to stick with it some days when everyone at my lunch table is eating some rly unhealthy food.
 
Here I am reporting to my fellow members..... Just a quick update...

January 01 2009= 201 Lbs
February 18 2009= 171 Lbs.

I'm very happy with the results so far.
Again I am 5' 8" / Male/ Age 25= so my target weight is 150 lbs.

I still have 21 to loose. I am confident that I will reach this goal by April 22 2009.

Here are 10 crazy things I do while I’m on a diet.

1) I set really small goals. For example If I want to lose 50 pounds, I set a small goal of 8 pounds per week and I solely focus that IN THAT MONTH i need to lose 8 pounds. That’s it. Then the next month I do it again....

2) I have a timer that reminds me that I need to eat every 3.5 hours.

3) I "on purpose" buy small cloth that barely fit. Then I said to myself, these clothes are a reward if you lose 8 more pounds this month! (and it works!!)

4) Gym is a daily thing. Kind of like brushing your teeth at night, YOU MUST EXERCISE.

5) I play Guitar Hero on my XBOX360 standing up and kind of "dance" while playing for 1 hour. It burns calories and TIME. (I am not a kid, I am 26 y/o btw)

6) "Sometimes" I avoid social events where I work. I know there’s going to be Krispy Kreme donuts (They bring them all the time!!!) SO I avoid going to social events 50% of the time

7) I go to bed at exactly 3 hours AFTER my last meal.

8) I wake up and I IMEDIATLY eat breakfast EVERY DAY!

9) 1 drink 1 gallon of water a day (4 litters)

10) I cheat once a month and eat EVERYTHING I CAN that day. It's usually the 15th of every month.

Did you mean to say Jan 1st 2008 you were 210 lbs and Feb 18th 2009 you were 171? Just curious becaus if you have lost 30 lbs in just under 7 weeks, that is a little concerning for your size. Also, was your starting weight 210 or 201? Just trying to clear that up because I have seen you list both. Could just be a dyslexic typo. I do it sometimes too. ;)

Just to be clear....

I really created this Thread long time ago somewhere in 2008. Did ok with the diet then gave up for some reason.... then I RESTARTED the diet again in JAN 1 2009 with 201 Pounds. I just lost the first pounds REALLY FAST. If I average all the days its like 2.3 Pounds per week which is normal I guess.
