You look unbelievable! You should be so proud of your accomplishment, as I'm sure you are! Congrats!

By the way, you don't look anywhere near 30 years old! You look so much younger!

Oh, and I'm sorry about the loss of your one child.
I lost my son who was born prematurely....he (Jacob Emery) actually died in my arms shortly after his birth (I was 19 years old at the time..this was almost 16 years ago), and I also had an ectopic pregnancy and a miscarriage, but thank God, I have three living children, ages 10, 11, and 15 years. The loss of a child, whether it's in utero or after the birth, is devastating, but I'm sure you already know that you can pour your love and energy into the surviving children and always keep the baby that passed in your heart.

Keep up your great success and God bless!

Hey everyone! I'm back! I had lost my link for this, and luckily, found it again. I know, BLONDE moment! LOL

First of all, THANK YOU so much to everyone who has read my story and said such sweet, kind words!! So since I've been MIA for a month or so, let me update y'all!!!!

Nightporter ~ I'm 5'9" tall. To get into the shape I'm at now, well, I started dieting November 8th, 2005. January 1st, 2006 I started to really push myself. And by the end of February, I was back to where I was before I was pregnant. So about 4 1/2 months it took me to take the weight off. People, I've never been so dedicated in my life. I seriously watched EVERYthing that I put in my mouth and kept track of it on my Fitday program (calorie counter, etc).

HF2006 ~ I don't have any back problems with doing TJ. Of course, I do see a chiro on a monthly basis, but have done so since I was 12. Preventative measures I guess.

Amy ~ You asked what my motivation is/was. Easy answer.......I wanted to be a FIT healthy mom of 3 AND be able to wear a 2 piece swimsuit on our trip in mid-March. That's what kept me going. You may laugh, but I took pics of models in swimsuits (ones I had wanted to buy when I was bigger) and I seriously taped them up to my wall. One on each wall, so no matter what direction I was facing, I was always looking at a model in a swimsuit and thinking to myself "someday......".

Tammy ~ Advice on the cravings......gosh, that's a big one for me. But in Chalene's Turbo Jam book, she says that if you can distract yourself for 2 minutes, the craving will pass. Don't sit in front of the fridge debating what to get. WALK AWAY!!! Go read a book, watch TV, or what I did...WORKOUT! Ok, so I didn't workout EVERY time I had a craving..LOL. But it did help! Heck, even downing 16 ozs of water helps too. That and brushing my teeth. Cuz who wants to eat after brushing?!? haha

Amy (Christmaseve) ~ Thank you for your sweet words! Losing a child is never easy, and I'm so sorry to have heard about your sweet little boy. The heartache is unbearable at times, but then I look into Kaitlyn's eyes and just smile. ;) Good luck to you!

Merianisback ~ Yes, approximately 4 1/2 months to take all that danged weight off. It was NOT easy. LOL To date, I've lost about 79 pounds! And have kept it off!

Idohair ~ As far as Beachbody workouts go, I guess it depends on your fitness level. The Slim In 6 Series is a great workout for beginners (or in my case, coming back to working out after pregnancy). My mom is about 75 pounds overweight and is going to start this program on Labor Day. Turbo Jam is a little more complex. I've heard friends say that some moves are difficult to learn and other friends have said the exact opposite. But to me, TJ was easy, BECAUSE I had done the Slim In 6 AND Slim Series first. So I felt "more in shape" to do TJ. But if I had to pick, I'd start off with Slim In 6 and work your way up.

Niapage ~ Sounds like you want to spice up your fitness routine as well. Doing the same thing every day......well, the muscles will get too used to it and then you'll hit a rut. I guess I can't really answer your specific questions as to what I do. The only thing I DO DO is Turbo Jam 6x a week, for at least 1.5 hours a day. I alternate between cardio and sculpting (TJ has both, as does Slim In 6).

MissJellyBelly ~ Thank you! Yes, my hubby loves having me for a wife again. He loved me when I was bigger, but the a$$-grabbing is more frequent now. LOL

So hopefully I've answered all of your questions. If not, please let me know! I've saved this site in my favorites, so as not to EVER lose it again. LOL

But the latest news on me........

Back in late July, I had submitted my Succes Story to Beachbody.com. About 3 weeks ago, I was their featured member and just last week, I was CHOSEN as one of 2 August Success Stories!!!!! So I won $250!!!! Got the check in the mail yesterday as a matter of fact.

But that's just the beginning........I also received a phone call from the Success Story Manager OF Beachbody. She was saying that Debbie Siebers (creator of Slim In 6 and Slim Series) is doing NEW videos with REAL people, and this lady said I should submit a video tape! I guess I was one of the first people to be notified. So I did my "demo" tape this past Sunday and it's on it's way to Beachbody!!! The deadline isn't until Sept. 15th. And if I am chosen, I would get $1,000 cash PLUS an all-expense paid trip to LA to do the shoot!!!

So as you can imagine, I'm on cloud-friggin-9 right now!!! I had to take updated pics today and send them to BB for review. So for a little more motivation, here ya go!! KEEP AT IT EVERYONE!!!!!!!!

You really are an inspiration...to know that I can possible get to that point is an awesome feeling.

Congratulations!

people like you make this world go around...you make people feel so alive..you really deserve every good thing that is happening to you after all that hard work ....congratulations and thank you sooooooo much.. you have really made a big impression on me and i am sure every one agrees with me...thank you for taking the time to write back ...that is so kind...sky is the limit for you girl...

You look great! Congratulations!
I am starting a new exercize program after I took a look at your photos yesterday.
Now I am inspired to lose more weight.
:)
See what you started??
Today I went out and bought 3 new pieces of gym equipment at my neighbors yard sale,
just so I could be in shape like you..
... And a couple of vhs dance/workout tapes.
I will have to get everything into my family room, as soon as the rain stops,
and start using them, so I can lose my 19 pounds a little quicker!
And after I lose THAT 19 lbs, there is ANOTHER 25 I have to work on...sigh...

TIP:
OH, about cravings. I get rid of cravings the easy way. I eat 3 tablespoons RAW pumpkin seeds once a week, sometimes twice if I have to.
The carbohydrate craving goes away IN 24 HOURS. It takes a while.
But then I don't have the cravings for a few days...up to 1 week.

The seeds have no shells. And they have no salt & are not cooked. I buy them at health food stores.
I have never found them at grocery stores.
And they run anywhere from $3 -$5 lb. Cheap. A pound last me a few months.
And they are loaded with vitamins and minerals.
Other seeds never have worked for me.
My neighbor told me about them. She just passed away a few months ago.
(She was 99!) She said they helped her hold down her weight and gave her the energy to exercize..
She was a lifeguard in the 30's! Then became a physical therapist.
She exercized well into her 90's. And stayed rather thin.

Bingo....thanks for the pumpkin seed tip! I'll have to check that out next time I'm near a health food store. ;)

Thanks for the sweet words everyone!!

i like that ....

yeah...pumpkin seeds...no more carb craving...humm sounds good..i am going to try this..i have a hard time with carbs..they like me tooo much lol

thanks bingo
