You too Trev!!

Tell me about it, I layed in bed until 8:45. I was so exhausted. It's too bad we can't help ourselves, isn't it? LOL.

Thanks! I'm pretty sure it will be. I hate to ginx it now, but we usually beat the team we're playing tonight. Their driver is roughly...4' 11 and I'm 5' 10, so as you can imagine, I usually have some pretty good blocks and rebounds. This particular team fouls the crap out of me though. My coach told me last time..."They can't help themselves. These ref's like picking on the tall player. You're just a tower out there, Rach. Don't worry about it. Just do your best." It made me snicker.

Though, everytime I play I seem to get injured in one way or the other. See, because I play girls, they're feminine, and half of them keep thier nails long. To be honest, I don't understand how, when you play contact sports, you can have long nails. They're particularly dangerous to rebounders and the defense. Because I'm primary defense, I'm always jumping for the ball at the same time as these girls with long nails...and I never fail to get scratched by one of them. Last game, my palm bled for 5 minutes. I hated it because I hate sitting out. So what I did, was wrap half a roll of medical tape over my palm and told my coach..."I'm not sitting out, put me back in. I need to be out there with my team." And he laughs and says..."Are you sure?" And I say..."Yes, absolutely."

I'm a tough cookie...I can play with the big dogs. LOL..

Well just remember to show them whose boss!

I can see how long nails and basketball don't mix..lol. They might actually be more intimidated if your cut and still playing, but hopefully none of them scratch you. I have come to the conclusion that i don't ever want to play you in basketball....you would probably kick my ass and make me look weak :). I need to get more involved in a sport..I think next fall semester i am going to play soccer with my roommates aka my best friends from high school. Its so nice to go to the same college as your best friends, it makes college a little less frightening the first year your there, plus you know you have legit friends to talk to about stuff.

lol, wow im so random today..i go from Rach whooping up in basketball to best friends in college!

But were both random sometimes :)
Thats why our aim conversations are so long...lol

Don't we know it.

It's perfectly okay to be random! At least you're not one of those 'one word response' males I constantly try to converse with. Usually I get a 'yeah' or a 'Nah' or on special occasions a 'No kidding...'. LOL. My bro and I have five minute phone convos, if it's any longer, there's silence on the other end of the line. He's such a masculate male.

Oh, I don't know about that. I love the sport, but I'm not the best at it. I could be better. I'm just...muscular and tall. I get run into alot. LOL.

Soccer is always fun. It was for me. I'm worse at that game then I am b-ball. But now that I can run for such a long period of time, I'm thinking I'll be better at it this year. I'll prolly play defense again, but there's nothing in the rules of soccer that state I can't 'accidentally' knock down an opposing player. Haha. No, I'm a better person than that...

Whenever my roommates aren't having a good day, they tell me they like to go play soccer and lay people out. Haha, so wrong, but so funny at the same time. I played with them once and some kid layed me out. I was so mad the next drive down the field i went right after him, took the ball, and his feet with me. Lets just say he left me alone the rest of the game!

I love being more in shape now, especially since i used to be 'the last one' in sports. Dont get me wrong im still uncoordinated, but at least i can keep up stamina wise with my bros.

All this talk and i think im almost ready to go do some HIIT. Its either that or the oatmeal talking!

Damn, girl! Your diary moves faster than mine!! :D

Where to start?? You must be congratulated on losing sooo much weight. That is fantastic! And I also think you are stronger than you think. You don't lose 100+lbs being weak and wussy. ;)

You look so pretty in that pic--you should make it your avi. :) You really are a beautiful woman--inside and out.

I'm envious of your BBall skills. I am also tall, so I was always hearing about how I would make a great bball player. NOT! I suck so bad at it. :D I also hated all the running. As soon as you get down to one end of the court, you've gotta turn around and run back to the other end...lol. Yes, I'm lazy. :biggrinjester:

I'm with Margaret about the matchmaking. I would love to see you and Trev together. :D Where do you live?? I'm so bad....:reddevil:

Oh wow, I really don't know what to say besides thank you so much! You've certainly made my night. It feels good to be complimented, it's like an endorphine rush that keeps you high for hours.

Do you think I should? I may have to change my avvie then...lol...

I did say I play basketball, I didn't say I neccessarily have skill. I think I could do better, and I'm always striving to be more aggressive. I'm too apt to be gentle in general, so actually FIGHTING for the ball is a strategy I'm slowly trying to get use to. I average two baskets a game and seven rebounds. I suppose for a first year, my rate isn't bad. I'm hoping I'll average four by next season.

Oh, trust me hon, Trev and I are smart cookies...we can handle ourselves. I'm sure we'd hang all the time if I didn't live like...all the way across the continent. LOL. It's actually WARM where he lives, here it's like...thirty below. I'm actually wearing four layers to bed. Haha.

You and Marg remind me of my mother and her friends. They're always trying to set me up with one of 'my boys'. I can't imagine it...My dad's cool with my wanting to be single for now. But as do all parents, he has his moments of .."So when are you going to have a boyfriend? To be honest, I'm surprised they're not falling at your feet." The guy can make me blush more red than an apple...lol. He's my daddy though, you know? It's like HIS JOB to tease me.

Thanks for stopping by!! I'll pop over to yours and say 'hi' again as soon as I'm done with this.

Alright, I need to update for tonight. I'm sitting here in the quiet resonance of my living room with my fake illuminated fish tank, and I'm feeling pretty darn tranquil.

My team won our game tonight. Seventeen to seven. I know it isn't a lot, but it was more like a wrestling match than a b-ball game. The other teams coach was REALLY incorrigable and not only did MY coach have an altracation with him, so did the ref. He went so far as to tell him he'd end the game if he didn't contain his yelling. Needless to say, we were all pretty motivated to show our team's sportmanship after that. We pressed the other team and simply passed the ball for about two minutes before I shot it in. I had WAY too much fun tonight. I love this sport so much you guys, after I graduate, I'll definately play it recreationally.

As I write this, my boys are downstairs. They come over every weekend to hang. I've forgone watching a Terentino movie so I could be here now at this board. We have alot of fun too, my boys and I. Two of them, I think are a little too competitive. Just two hours ago, I brought them pillows and one of them hugged me and the other didn't. I'd mentioned to the hugger how he smelled good and the other one of my boys says.."I thought you didn't like that." And I say..."You know how much I like a good-smelling man." And he says to me, "No, not the smell, him." He's too curious of me and this other guy. I'm thinking maybe he's got a thing for me. I really can't tell though. I'm getting WAY too many mixed signals from this one friend inparticular. He flirts with me outrageously, but whenever the suggestion of 'he and I' is presented by his brother or mine, he tells them to stop talking crap. It amuses me really, how he can be so open with me and yet shy at the same time.

It happens alot with me and the men in my life. I just can't figure them out. What's worse, is the mind of a man attracts me more than anything else, and if they confuse me, it fascinates me and if I'm fascinated, I'm captivated. Once I delve into that deep captivation, it's harder for me to let go. It's how it's been all my life.

Anyway, straying from the subject that is sure to boggle my mind tonight...I've done good on my eating plan again today. Only 1300 that I listed. I'm sure I burned at least 200 of that off running back and forth on the court tonight. I loaded up on oatmeal and cereal before my game, and as always when I eat carbs, I had WAY too much stamina. I'm the only player who hussles. I can get down the court in less than half the time it takes the rest of the girls. I'm sure it's because of my constant excerise routine of four miles+ a night. The only con of this fact, is our forward always tries to outlet the ball to me, that means pass it ALL the way down the court. She always misses, and my coach always reprimands her for it. We're not aloud to throw half-court passes because of the risk of the ball being stolen. It's amusing to hear the coach from the opposing team say..."Get down there ladies, their defensive player hussles twice as fast as you guys, and it's why you can never get the ball in!" I'm secretly proud of being a tower in this game. LOL.

My dad bought me Ben and Jerry's Cherry Garcia Ice Cream as a treat. There's 240 calories in a quarter of the pint. I about died. Of course though, I was famished and at this point, had only eaten 1000 cals for the day, so I treated myself to a couple spoonfuls. I could have sat there and ate the whole thing but you know what...I didn't. I was proud. I thought of you guys and my goal and this board and my friends on here and thought...I'm too close to my April goal. So needless to say, it's sitting in my freezer and whenever I need a sweets fix, I'll go in and spoon some off the top until it's gone. I know treating myself is fine and I do, but I didn't feel like it tonight. I have another game tomorrow and didn't want to be overloaded with ice cream when I wake up with the sun.

I really don't think I have anything else to report. Save for the fact that men confuse me, but I'm sure I've already gotten that point across...

I hope all of you have a good night and as peaceful a rest as I'm about to have, I assure you it will be...I'm exhausted from all the running, lobbing and jumping.

Much love you guys!

Congrats on winning your game and playing well! :hurray:

Aaaahhhh....Ben & Jerry's....how do I love thee? Let me count the ways...:biggrinjester: I was in the supermarket tonight and walked down the ice cream aisle. They had my B&J peanut butter cup (my absolute favorite) on sale...:banghead: But, I said a few choice words and kept on walking...lol.

Kudos to you for only eating a few spoonfuls. That's what I tend to do these days when there's ice cream in the house.

As to your boys, my guess is the one you think might be interested probably is, just is shy and possibly afraid of ruining a good friendship--and also worried about all the teasing from the other boys should you two become an item.

Now, back to Trevor....hahaha...I couldn't resist. ;)

No kidding, peanut butter cup is my all time fav as well. I use to eat it religously. Good for you for resisting the temptation. It took me at least a year to get to the point where I can say no and not feel seperation anxiety. LOL.

See, those are my thoughts too. I'm not initiating anything though. He's just a dude, and though I care for him immensely, I'm just 'Rach', you know? I'm like...one of them but...with a womb...

You little vixen, you're really trying for this aren't you? I can say this...Trever's a sweetie. He and I have wickedly awesome conversations about life, love and everything in-between, like big screen T.Vs and Elton Brown. He's certianly ALOT of awesome packed into one person.

Yah, all I will say is that if I was 15yrs younger and single, I'd wrestle ya for him. ;)

:reddevil:

Mmm...B&J PBC is THE best..lol. Why can't broccoli taste like that? :biggrinjester:

I'd pin you to the ground, girlfriend! LOL...man isn't he gonna be tickled when he reads about this? Haha.

I know right? Nothing that doesn't have sugar can ever taste like that...unfortunately...

Ha! You would not pin me. I fight dirty. :D

Yah, if this doesn't flatter Trev, I don't know what will. Maybe if we made it mud wrestling...:p
