My slimming journey

OMG OMG OMG!!!! I cheated yesterday! :eek2: I had a piece of my birthday cake. They bought my favorite and I had about a 1cm thick slice - IT WAS DIVINE!!!! But amazingly 2 minutes after consumption I wanted to vomit from all the sweetness. Drank like a liter of water afterwards to get the sweetness outta my mouth.

I was quite surprised at the reaction of my body as I used to eat MUCH thicker slices. It's called Doukissa a chocolate flavoured biscuit cake, local to Cyprus. ITS AMAZING AND MY ALL TIME FAVE!!!

This just showed me that I beat a very bad habit that I had for many years - consuming way too much sugar and sweets.

AAAAAAANDDDD even with the big cheat I managed to lose 300gram yesterday:D:beerchug:

Whooohooo!!!!

Happy belated birthday Mands!!
Cheat days are ok - I just did a whole weekend of it! It is interesting what you are saying - and some might find it hard to believe. Like how could one feel bad after eating the cake? I found it to be really true. My husband used to be a pizza/processed food/diet Pepsi junkie. On Monday we had pizza for dinner (take away) & he was nearly sick after eating it too - he was craving fresh vegetables!!!
Amazing what habits do to us!

Keep up the good work!

How did I miss your birthday?! Happy Birthday, Mands! Hope you had a great time.
It's funny the reaction you have to formerly LOVED foods that you've grown away from, isn't it? I took a handful of sunflower seeds (in the shell) at my daughter's track meet yesterday and gagged from the salt.

you must be living right, Mands! The weight is still flying off! Have a great day.

Congrats on the birthday. The Clockwork Orange reaction you had to the cake was interesting. I had a little bit of a reaction like that the last time I had pizza, but not too bad. Since the only think I've cut out completely has been french fries, I wonder if they would be the one to cause that big reaction in me.

"I'm singin' in the rain. Just singin' in the rain..."

Justina, CHEAT days are NOT ok and don't exist in my life. This was the first time ever this year that I cheated. Afterwards when I felt ill I could kick my own ass that I cheated!

How did I miss your birthday?! Happy Birthday, Mands! Hope you had a great time.

Tx Don. It's amazing that before I didn't even think twice of how much sweets I was putting in my mouth and the effect of it on the body.

Mr Vee, I forgot to mention that after about 10 min of consumption I had a massive headache too!

I hope that you had a wonderful day.

It is great that you are not craving cake after having some... quite the reverse!!!

Losing weight on your birthday is amazing!!!

Omega, the word thing is I didn't crave any cake. I just had cause it was my bday and I thought ok just a small piece.....

So today 85.7kg (188.9). Looking forward to when I see 80kg - my next mini-goal!

Tomorrow we are kicking off our wedding season with our first wedding of the year. I'm soooooooo excited! I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE what I do. To capture their memories and immortalise those memories forever is pure bliss for us!!

Happy losing y'all!

Happy belated birthday! How wierd of you to have that kind of reaction to cake, but I guess it's a good thing since now you probably won't have anymore anytime soon. It may sound weird, but I wish I had that kind of reaction to deter me from eating unhealthy food. Unfortunately, it's yet to happen. I can usually eat whatever I want and I'm fine with it. That's when my self control really needs to succeed against my cravings. I've been doing pretty good though. Today is day 4 of no sweets for me. I've been sneaking in a hershey's kiss or small bite sized candy bar almost daily, but this week I decided to really give it my all to give it up. So far so good! :)

Hey Mands, you are so lucky you do what you like for a living!! I hope one day I will be able to do that too!!

As for the cheat days. You said they are not OK for you. So is it until your reach your goal weight? Just wondering.

You are doing great - soon you will be at 80kg!

It's WEDDING DAY today!!! Whoooohooooooo!!!!

Justina, I don't wanna cheat until I reach my goal weight as my past has shown me once I start it just becomes this huge rollercoaster that I can't control or stop. So I rather stay clear!

85.5kg (188.4) today.

I'm so excited and thrilled that we are shooting our first wedding today. Cleaned, packed and formatted everything so we are ready to rock 'n roll!!

Happy Friday!!

Great weigh in! Wow, Mands, you are doing incredibly well! I understand how you feel about the cheat days thing. I've always felt cheat days are an individual decision... not bad for some people (even a good thing) but dangerous for others. In the last eight weeks I've added periods when I am a little less stringent about what i eat than at other times, but I don't sway much on my choice to control the qty or the timing of my food.

Good luck on the shoot today! I hope all goes well.

Weighed in at 85.4kg (188.2) this morning.

Our first wedding started with RAIN!! The couple was supposed to get married on the beach so they had to be moved inside the hotel. BIG BIG PITY!

We managed to get around 15 minutes of shots outside and then the rain came down again. We couldn't do their sunset shoot either as it was bucketing down. So we promised them another sunset shoot on Tuesday. Pls pls pls let it be a nice day.

Weight is consistently dropping, although slower but I will gladly take any drop.

I made a mistake earlier when I said next mini-goal is 80kg it's actually 85kg as I take it in 5kg increments. For me it's small enough and big enough not to feel overwhelmed about the HUGE amount I have to lose.

Rained yesterday, is cloudy today, just hope tomorrow is sunshine as I can't have another wedding raining out.

Hold thumbs & toes pls.

I hope the weather held out for you Mands, wow your job sounds amazing, your very lucky not every one can say that actually love what they do for a living lol
Great idea in taking it in 5kg incriments, it does seem a whole lot more manageable when you focus on making it to each goal at a time.
Keep it up girl you are doing fantastic!!

Oh that is such a shame that the weather didn't cooperate for the wedding. What a nice setting that would have been. Hopefully the weather will cooperate for the next photo session. :)

84.6kg (186.5). Another mini-goal reached - whooooohoooooo!!! Next mini-goal 80kg!

Doing our 3rd wedding of the week today and will be ending it off with a 3hour firework cruise and Sunday our last one for the week but Sunday's one is a biggie as it is a local wedding and they have 100s of guests, sometimes up to 2500 people. Totally exhausted but loving it!!

Have a fab weekend y'all!!!!

Way to hit the mini-goal.

Pretty soon the brides are gonna start getting mad at you for taking all the attention away from them. :)
