Any feedback at all welcome and much appreciated, and advice is most probably greatly needed. Thank you for taking the tme to read if you have.

Welcome! You're pretty much free to write about whatever you feel like in your journal, I think

Looks like you are off to a great start though, especially with your exercising 4 days out of the week. That motivation to get up and move is key. And to me your diet looks good, too (I'm no nutritionist though!) I've had a few slip ups here and there, especially since I just started, but it's important not to beat yourself up too much about it. I hear the cravings for unhealthy foods will eventually go away, and I hope they do, that's one of my biggest challenges!

Thanks for the feedback Squish, if that is your real name (ha), all input and advice is greatly appreciated and can only help to motivate me.

I've taken some pictures for the purpose of future comparisons. I apologise in advance for the horror show.

lol There's no horror show. You're fine!

I just started lifting recently. I'm really excited about it, but petrified about my weight loss stalling. I know it's good for me, though. /sigh

Do you like Weetabix? I thought about buying some. If it's icky...then....I won't. lol

I like it, but it is a bit boring so I've been having the fruit and nut ones of these instead - http://www.weetabix.co.uk/brands/cereals/weetabix-minis

If you can get them in the States then they come with my approval. lol. They're healthy and they're enjoyable especially with pouring yogurt.

I've been told by one of the PT's at the gym that weight training is actually a better way of losing fat? He said that muscles that are being repaired are calorie hungry around the clock so you burn more off with weights than you do on a treadmill. The guy is built like Arnie in his prime though, so he may be a little biased.

He also told me that muscle weighs more than fat, though. So that might affect weight readings, but he said the best thing to tackle that is to judge yourself by waist measurements rather than on the scales. Though I'd imagine you'd have to pack on some serious muscle for it to affect your weight really!!!

Thanks RE the pics. My weight comes in at 27.9 on the BMI, so I definitely need to sort it out as I am slap bang in the middle of the 'over weight' range for my size. :)
