My P90X Journey - Diet Journey

wow.. busy week, but stuck with the P90X. Traveled out west, brought the DVD with me.. eating was a challenge, but successful. Menu on the plane I had grilled chicken Ossa Bucco, and veggies. Said no to the ice cream (UGH).

Had a lunch meeting yesterday at Ruth's Chris, and opted for the chicken/avocado salad...walnuts and crumbled bleu cheese. mmmm... had unsweeted iced tea.

VERY noticeable difference from my end. I'm stronger, ton more energy, and my belt is going to holes they haven't gone in years. I'm psyched for 34" pants are loose on me, then I'm going on a shopping spree!!

Any fashion experts wanna help? lol

GO "feelflows"

I just started back on P90X.....I tried it a couple months before my wedding, and lost about 16lbs and increased my strength in 7 weeks and didn’t fallow the diet plan, however I ate decent. I fell off and ate like crap and didn’t work out for 5-6months....gained it all back.

I just started about 2.5weeks ago, although I’m not seeing too much weight loss the definition and size is there. Keep going with it.

Don’t let anyone knock you down.

"Just bring it"

right on Madman! Keep it up!!

I have 4 days left on Phase 1 workouts, then a week of cardio and stretching (yoga).. then on to Phase 2. This has FLOWN by.

I'm more focused on my workouts because I can now DO everything!! That keeps me into the workout.

I'm still sweating like it's going out of style, and my heart is still racing in every workout.

I started with a TIGHT 36 waist, and I have retired my 36" pants (hopefully for good). 34" are tight, but doable. By weeks end, they will be more comfortable, and by the end of Phase 1, I plan on being in them with total comfort.

My energy level is through the roof!!!!

Hey nice results!!! Glad to see you are still working on this.....I am still planing to do the P90X but I need a freaking DVD player first. I put in the budget for mid june so I will start then! Let you know how it goes if you are still on here!

Today was Yoga. I still can't get into it, but I do it. I have to admit, I really am noticing a difference. I am wearing a white t-shirt today, and I look semi-fit in it. I still have 2 months and 1 week to go, but I am excited to see how much more I can improve (physically!).

Whoo hoo!!! Keep up the good work! Have you started to plan out what you will do once you finish the programe in order to maintain???

yes, and no...

The last month of the program, you eat what you SHOULD be eating when you're not "dieting".. so I plan on keeping that up...

That being said, I plan on doing Insanity or a Hybrid program after P90X. I'd like to test my limits. I assume that I'll be in damn good shape in 2 months, so why not see if I can handle Insanity?

Ultimately, I'd like to find a workout program that keeps my interest, long term. That will help me maintain a level of fitness.

As for the dieting, it's all willpower and moderation. I KNOW what I should/shouldn't eat.. it's a matter of DOING it! lol

I think you have a great plan!!!! A lot of people that do programs like p90X and then say they don't work.....only cause they did the program got results and then went back to the lifestyle that cause the problem in the first place.....I see that you have tought this tru good for you!

great weekend, and start of the week here. ate very healthy all week. Just made a delicious vegetable soup for the week!!

Did Kenpo Martial Arts on P90X on Saturday, and yesterday on the "Stretch Day" I moved a bedroom set into my house, which was a crazy workout.

Yoga today, and I still get nothing out of it. Too much UP and DOWN. Makes me dizzy. I'll take my doggy girl out for a long hike later tonight. That'll be a nice exercise.

I plan on being comfy in my 34"s by weeks end!

A lot of people complain about the P90X Yoga and says that they get nothing out of it!!! A lot of them actually went out and bought another yoga DVD and used that one instead of the P90X! 33" pant here you come !!! Have a great week!

I find P90X yogo to be super intense....my first round I felt doing the yogo really loosened up my body. Now this round I have not been able to complete a full session of the yogo, just because I back out!

I substituted it for cardio X or something else.

Great work Feelflows.....keep it up.

I’m moving into my second Month...I’m down 9.5lbs hoping to push even harder this month. I my self have a few pieces of clothing I’m hoping to fit into and feel comfortable in.

Core Synergistics today.. it kicked my ass. It was my first time doing this one. Some very tough moves, hardly ANY breaks.. and just a deep deep sweat. I feel amazing after it. Found it VERY hard to wake up today, but rolled out of bed and dreaded this workout. GLAD I DID IT.

RE: Economics.. the initial investment is steep. There's no denying that. The money I've SAVED since is ridiculous. No more going out for meals, no more drinking and I buy in bulk because the ingredients are similar all 3 months. I go to place called Produce Junction for my vegetables and fruits. I find deals on chicken and turkey and freeze. My monthly food budget is minimal now.

feel great today, which is shocking. I haven't slept GREAT because it's been cool out, and I turned off the AC. I prefer the cold air when I sleep.

I still woke-up and did some KENPOX. For the FIRST TIME I did the optional cardio exercises during break time, and it kicked my ass. This was the sweatiest I've been during P90X.

Had some greek yogurt with blueberries for breakfast, and some homemade veggie soup will be for lunch.

right on!

if you're looking to do it, let me know. They have free "coaches" who kinda help you out (with workout and diet). I can hook you up with my guy, he's excellent.

He tells you what you need, and things you don't need to waste money on.

first month is winding down. I have 2 days left on Phase 1, and I'm down 22lbs. I'm looking to be down 25lbs in phase 1, so I'm going to bust ass. I'll be at 199 with 3 more lbs.

Goal for Phase 2, down to 185, and tight!!

Whoo Hoo look at you go!!! That is a big lose (sorry I can't spell) Guess what I went out and got a DVD player today, to hell with the budget!!!! Let you know how it goes!

Great! please keep us updated with your progress.

I will be on my own in an apartment for 2 months with work in a city where I know nobody in 3 weeks time. I plan on using the free time I have to kick off the p90x training.
