My own Velocity Diet?

Hi guys, I have been trying to cut for some time but am concerned that I'm not getting enough food. It's very hard for me to find the proteins I need around the house from healthy sources. I have 100% whey protein shakes but its still very difficult. Some days I can only get about 900 calories in and then without knowing what to eat I might just go for a semi-cheat food. I was looking at the velocity diet and I think it's very appealing to me. The diet costs just under $400 if one were to order it from t-nation. I was looking at the concepts of the diet and I attempted to put together a cheaper version? (multiple sources of protein, fish capsules, flax/fiber, and around 1400 cals)

The substances I chose were as follows:
-Pro-Complex Gainer: After workouts, 620 cals, 85g carbs(low sugar), 55g protein (different sources)
-100% Whey Protein: Add with the Pro-Complex Gainer on workout days: 21g protein 120 cals, 4g carbs
-Mucle Foods: Good protein shake, 318 cals, 50g protein, 28g carbs (different sources of protein)
-4 Servings of FiProFlax a day: 360 cal 28g fat 16g carb 12g protein
-Fish/Salmon Oil Capsules

Workout Days:

-1 Pro Complex Gainer(after WO)
-4 Servings of FiProFlax
-4 100% whey protein shakes
-Fish Oil Capsules
Totals: 1460 Calories, 117g Carbs, 151g Protein

Non-Workout Days:
-3 Mucle Foods Shakes
-4 Servings FiProFlax
-Fish Oil Capsules
Totals: 1314 Calories, 100g Carbs, 162g Protein

The only thing I changed from the original diet is the metabollic drive shake and the surge post-WO drink. I looked for products with similarities in ingrediants and this is what I came up with.
Please post any advice/comments. This plan would end up just under $200

Go for it. I am doing the same thing. I rather doubt that the diet only works when you use their products. I just used my last burning capsule, so now I have to buy some more. I am wondering if I should stick with Xenadrine or try something different.

thats what i figured aswell. the t-nation is quite obviously biased towards biotest's products lol. I hope I got it right with the products I found, I spent a lot of time searching for similar products. Good luck on completing your diet too, hows it going so faR?

yeah, t nation is an excellent resource, but just be careful so you dont buy anything while your there. That being said, all of their product pimping is why the sites articles are free! which is a good thing.

sorry for the honesty here, but it won't work as well the way you have it.

You do not need a gainer on velocity at all, and your carbs should not be from sugars, The pwo shake should still me moderate in cals, but preferable the simple carbs from maltodextrin, like in Surge, and a fast acting protein.

The regular shakes need a blend with some Casein and whey, not just whey.

Also, the diet is extreme, it should only be used after you've been on a clean diet for a while and know how your body reacts to different breakdowns, similarly, you should have a really firm grasp on lifting because in order for it to work (healthily) you would maintain muscle and lose fat, therefore it's essential to know lifts, form, and have been doing it for a long while.

If you'd like to try, go ahead, I'm just telling you how it goes down. There are cheaper ways, I would look into combining ON's casein with whey, ON makes straight casein powder, or using something like Nitrean's blend which has some casein into addition to isolates and concentrates, it comes out cheaper than biotest's products
