my official weight loss diary

Hi everyone!

Yay I'm new to the site and I'm pumped and ready to shed some weight!
I'm in my early 20's and am 5 feet 2.75 inches tall (or shall I say short)
I weigh 138 pounds
It seems I'm on the border between healthy and overweight according to my BMI- the good news is that I don't look fat but since I'm short and I have small bone structure I know I would look 20 times more awesome if I could cut my weight done to 125. (This weight would flatter my petite frame)

So I'm getting married soon and really want to lose some weight before my wedding. I know that I'm at the point where every pound will make a big difference on my physical appearance. One of the biggest issues that I noticed these days is that my chest has gotten on the larger size (32G!) and I barely fit into my bras ....oh man..I know I'll never be tiny busted but the least I could do for myself is fit into my bra!!

So today was the first day of my diet/fitness plan.
Food:
-slimfast shake (180 cal)
-iced coffee (skim milk+ splenda)
-water (2 bottles)
-baked ziti
-banana
-diet coke
-baby carrots


ehhh not bad for the first day--I'm supposed to be eating 1300 cals max if I want to lose weight

Since I'm a student I sit in class all day or study all night so I decided it is time for me to start a fitness plan. My bud and I did some working out today for the first time (woohoo!)

-brisk walk around the neighborhood (30 min)
-lunges, squats, etc...

Looks like I'm off to a good start! I think so that I don't go crazy I'll have to limit my weigh-ins to once a week..

btw- advice is ALWAYS appreciated

Looking forward to following your plan and seeing your results. I'm getting married soon too (a little more than 9 months away) and wanting to be a hot bride so we can cheer each other on. When is your big day?
 
Day 2

Holy crapmuchers! my legs were aching from my workout last night!
wow I haven't exercised in over a year...

So today I started off a bit rocky- I woke up late so I skipped breakfast (I know that's not great)

Food journal:
pene a la vodka
piece of cake
coffee (skim+splenda)
caesar salad
banana
diet coke

I could have done without the cake, I know...

I took a break from exercise today. My problem is that my sleep schedule is off- I stay up really late doing work for school and then I get hungry at like 3 am. In the past I would eat wtvr I want but now I'm more conscious of what I put into my mouth...

If I can keep this up I think I'll probably lose weight by next week- I normally eat so much crap -even though I indulged a bit today I'm giving myself props for eating so much less than I usually do :)
I tend to overeat when I'm anxious and studying for a test- I'm hoping that I could put an end to my unhealthy binging- It would be so nice to actually reach the 120's maybe my boobs will shrink...(I really hope they do!!) big boobs+ white wedding dress= disaster :smash:
 
Day 3

Hello guys,

It def was a pleasant surprise to have ppl comment on my diary. Thanks again for the support!

Today was one of those bad sleep cycle days- I woke up this morning for class having only gotten 2 hours of sleep the night before. Sleep deprivation is terrible for your general well-being and it certainly does not help you lose weight. In fact scientifically speaking, it has been shown that a brain on low sleep lacks the neurotransmitter serotonin- decreased levels of this molecule can make you feel sad as well as hungry. (If you eat sugars you will trigger you brain to release "feel good" molecules which would compensate the lack of serotonin due to sleep deprivation)
How does this relate to me? Well I felt starving even when I knew I was just extremely tired. After lunch today I craved highly sweetened junk food but instead I made myself iced coffee with sugar free flavoring in order to kill two birds with one stone- satiate both my sweet tooth and my need for caffienation.
Another setback to my plans today was the horrible weather: unfortunately I had to cancel my "brisk walking" plans with my bud due to the grossness that was the outdoors today..

Food Journal
-sushi (3 salmon sashimi, 6 pieces Alaska roll)
-iced coffee (with sugar free coffeemate)
-3 salmon croquettes
-1 onion ring (baked)
-Kashi honey,almond, and flax cereal with skim milk

I think foodwise I was pretty successful today- yes I know I could use some fruits and veggies but this is just the beginning. Right now I'm just happy to be limiting my food intake to around 1200 a day.
