MY motivation

Well- I've been deciding whether or not I should post this picture-and I've decided to go ahead and do it.

I took a couple of pictures of myself yesterday to get a real birds eye view of what I look like.

It makes me sick looking at them and that is why I am determined to lose this weight and this gut and this man-boobs.

I am also wondering if I need surgery to get rid of this fat. Or will my stomach go down after I lose weight and fat?

Here goes:

Oh yeah, any advice is greatly appreciated- and the more criticism the better.

If you loose weight your stomach will go down for sure ;) I'm not a doctor or anything, but I think it's pretty unlikely that you would need surgery! Good luck! In a few weeks/months you'll be glad you had this pic taken for comparison, I wish I'd had a pic taken at my biggest because it's easy to forget!..., I'm thinking to take some now while I still have quite a lot of weight to loose.

Love Handles and Man-Boobs

When I lost the weight the first time, I still did not have a flat stomach---
I weighed 289 at my highest- I dropped down to 205- I am currently at 238. My goal is 205 or less by June 1st.

I am 6ft4 so 205 is not bad.

This was me when I lost the weight the first time:

Notice it is the same person- I have a tattoo on my right tricep.

UGHHHHHHH

Hi chendo. welcome to the forum:)
Don't be too critical & harsh on yourself. U seem to think you look worse than you actually do.
Like sponge wrote in, I don't think you need surgery. Nothing eating right & exercising won't fix.
Loads of luck & work hard!!!!

No worries man...

I am certainly no expert, but I doubt very highly you are in any need of surgery. And as for man boobs, dude, I have seen man boobs in my day, and those are not them! Trust me! From the looks of your body shape, exercise and diet will get you back to a fit and healthy looking shape very quickly and without too much residual "hanging" skin. I wish I was already the shape you are now!! Good luck to you though, you havent got too far to go, and you are in the right place to do it!

Let us know how you are doing.....

You'll get there again =D And if by chance you do have any extra skin, you're chances of it shrinking back are pretty good anyways. So don't let that worry you.

You're a real sharp lookin' guy :p Lookin' forward to seein' your progress

actually i'm sure you'll be able to lose it. what you need is exercise, especially weights :D steve is very helpful in this area.
and those are not man boobs. and you don't need sugery. all you need is exercise and good eating habits and everything will fall into place. it will be a journey but you seem ready for it :D
Lena
P.S. i think you're cute :D

I have to agree with Lena here -- you're cute. And I'm a married woman so you won't hear me admitting that too often! You have a body that I would never look at and think "Oh man, FAT." Of course I understand why you want to lose weight and get in shape, I'm just saying it's really nothing too drastic. I'm sure you're not obese. Surgery is definitely out of the question! Were you hoping you'd need it? :p

man boobs? not even if those are moobs then you're a member of the itty bitty titty committee aka the IBTC :D (i never ever thought I would use that expression - especially directed at a male :) (I'm just goofin around - don't take me seriously - except when i say this...

Surgery should not be an issue for you - lose weight sensibly and healthily -and you won't have a problem... and you're really kinda cute :) dont be so hard on yourself..

Your goal is similar to mine (well, I'll still have a ways to go after losing this 30 pounds hopefully by the end of June), so I look forward to seeing you on the board and watching your progress! You are definitely a handsome guy- right now!! You *may* just need to work on a positive mentality. It really helps to have that when you're taking it day by day.

this picture and the one from above is from about 2 years ago. (I just got back from California, that is why I have a tan)

I am pissed at myself because I let myself get to this point again:

Now- the reason I ask if I need surgery is because when I lost the weight the first time (I was at 205) I still had a stomach as the picture above.

Yes, I do have moobs. You may not see them clearly in the picture- but I will take some side views to show you them.

I am not being negative, I just need to get my mind in the right mindset and by looking at these pictures, I will have the motivation I need to keep going. (I have a picture set as my wallpaper so when I am on the computer, I can see it and keep going towards my goal)

These love handles are disgusting too:

You are WAY too hard on yourself. It's good that you took these pictures becasue they will motivate you to get back to where you want to be. Don't get discouraged because you gained back some weight you lost. It happens to everyone and you shouldn't let it get you down. You'll get to where you want to be before you know it as long as you exercise and eat right. GOOD LUCK!! You really can do it. :)

hey you :D
now you really are too hard on yourself. those are not moobs as you call them. i've seen man boobs...trust me yours aren't it. and as for stomack...exercise will do wonders. but that will be a process. you need some toning and building your muscles. there are people here that can help you a lot with that.

anyway, i still think you're cute hehe

good luck and open your diary if you haven't already.

Lena

Unfortunately I can't see the pics as I'm at work and almost everything is blocked here. But anyway... I just wanted to post and comment on everyone disagreeing and saying he's being hard on himself. If he thinks he has "man boobs" and wants to lose them, then he does and we should be telling him how and wishing him luck.

In my experience, my bf would see me on the weekends (LDR) and tell me how much I'd changed from the previous. And 25 pounds later, he's saying "look at this... you didn't have that when I first met you (curves, bones protruding)... you look so good now..." He always thought I looked good so don't read that wrong. :p But his compliments sort of hindered me. I've recently stopped trying as hard. I'm barely trying to be completely honest. I'm only doing it half-assed. And I have no excuses. I'm not trying to blame him, just saying that since everyone has noticed a difference and complimented left and right, I've tricked myself into thinking I'm ok where I am and I'm not. *I* don't think I'm good enough here. I want to lose 10 more.

Butttt... anyway, I say good luck to you on your weight loss and getting back into shape. And I can't even see the pics... yet. :)

I just weighed myself last night and I am at 230. Down 8lbs from last Sunday. It is probably water weight, but I am still seeing differences.

On April 1st I will be taking my next set of photos to see what, if any progress I am making.

great, cobgrats on the loss. part is probably water weight, but i'm sure not all of it :D...btw why don't you start your diary... that way we can support you more.
Lena

Hmm.. if you work on maintaining you lean body mass while you are losing weight, it will probably help you see that stomach going away.

You should go to the On Topic forum and check out an article Steve posted in the thread titled "A MUST READ." I think it might help ya out!!

Good luck on your journey!

I am not sure you'd want to read what I have to say, and actually, I am not sure what to say!

What is a diary and what do I put in it?!

Thanks!
