I'm writing this so it's official- my weight loss diary.
this is a long thread, so get yourself a cup of tea and settle down!
I'm coming up to my 23rd birthday and for as long as i can remember, i have been on a diet. at the age of 8 i was 8 stone, at the age of 14 i weighed 18stone. by the time i reached my 15th birthday, i had managed to slim down to 13 stone, which is healthy seen as in 5ft 10. i managed to keep this weight off until i was 18, and leaving home sent my appetite soaring! since then i have been up and down until i stepped on the scales last April (2008) and i weighed exactly 17st 12 pounds! i was mortified, so i decided i need to lose weight for my upcoming holiday to Egypt. i got down to 16st 4lbs and stayed at this weight until November, when i had one too many nights out (too much alcohol and takeaways) and managed to put nearly all the weight back on.
i really need to break out of this cycle - my mother is 50 this year and has always yo-yo ed! i don't want to spend the rest of my life feeling guilty about eating and not exercising and i want to feel comfortable in my clothes!
so this is it- i have been doing a detox or the last few days- the lemonade detox. i know it's not recommended, but i just needed a break from food, to get rid of my food addictions and give my digestive system a break. i have already got back down to 16st 9, so it's a plus! i just need to keep going and keep the weight off afterwards!!!
i just need some advice/encouragement. i just really want to lose this weight and keep it off forever, and writing this down, hopefully, will make me feel as if a have to stick to it!
so this starts a very long journey- i have to get to 12st to have a healthy weight. i am going to update this as often as i can, and would love or anyone to comment or give me advice!
