My Left Wrist Clicks During Tricep Exercises...

So in the past two weeks I've noticed (very hard not to notice, really) that my left wrist/forearm makes a painful clicking noise during many of my tricep exercises. It only seems to happen during skull crushers and tricep extensions, but not during anything else. To pinpoint this problem area, imagine you're wearing a wristwatch - the area is almost directly underneath the band on the outermost part of the arm.

This problem has begun to affect my workouts and it's obviously an issue that needs to be addressed to prevent injury.

Has anyone else experienced/heard of this and/or have advice? Thanks a ton!

It hurts when it clicks? Have you tried tapping your wrist?

Yes, it is painful when it clicks. It almost feels like a tendon is getting caught up on something and then "snapping" back into place. Thanks for the reply; I haven't tried taping it, so I may try that next and see if it helps.

Don't do skull crushers and tricep extensions anymore. You can do close grip bench press instead (works your triceps, some chest, and is also more compound) and tricep pushdowns in replacement of those 2 exercises. If you experience pain, stop.
