Day 8
Food:
Breakfast- blueberry almond coffeecake
Snack- Mello Mango smoothie from Keva Juice, one shot of wheat grass
Lunch- salad
Snach- graham crackers w/lowfat peanut butter
Dinner- potstickers (I didn't make these... they are from Costco, but so YUMMY!
), also had sugar snap peas, bean sprouts, onions & cauliflower that I stir fried w/a little soy sauce
Fitness:
Walked Ace 1.5 miles
Gym- (We're going at about 8pm, so I'll update after then)
Fun:
Well, this is a little weird... I did a coffee enema. This is one of the treatments that I learned about in the 21 day detox thing. It is supposed to help release some fat-emulsifying bile from the liver. Yea, I know... basically I gave my butt a shot of espresso!!!
LOL
Feelings:
Still another good day. Paul & I went grocery shopping this morning and stocked up on lots of good, healthy food. I sat down with a couple cookbooks yesterday and made a meal plan for the coming week, with a grocery list to go with it. It's amazing how much time, money, and energy it saves to go shopping with a list. I am going to try to make at least one new recipe every week.
Here's some inspiring lyrics from the new Jason Mraz song, "I'm Yours". Not that the song necessarily applies to our weight loss, but I thought these particular lyrics did...
"... I'll be given it my best test. And nothin's gonna stop me but devine intervention. I reckon it's again my turn to win some or learn some. But I won't hesitate no more, no more, it cannot wait ..."
We have all waited for so long, for some reason or other to start getting healthy. I am proud of everyone that I have met on this forum. Thank you all for your support, and for letting me try to give a little back. YOU ALL ROCK!!!
