My journey to be 60 pounds lighter

Since I'm working on losing weight I might as well track my progress in a diary to keep me on motivated and accountable.

For awhile I had been floating around 235 lbs. I stayed this same weight for the past few weeks but my laziness prevented me from working on it thinking to myself "oh well at least I'm not gaining". Then eventually I got on the scale one morning to see I'm 237. Finally said to myself enough is a enough.

About a week ago I started to get back on track. Not perfect but a heck of a lot better than before. Now I'm down to 233. I know the first week you lose a lot more due to water weight. But, nonetheless finally seeing the scale going down instead of up I have become more motivated to stick to my goals. Acknowledging the initial loss is a great motivator and as I go its getting easier and easier to eat right and exercise. I will update this thing once a week to track my progress.

Nice, hopefully I will be close to a 60 pound loss by the time Santa comes. Also, will hopefully be able to not gain weight during the overload of food we all know about that comes around the holidays.

Survived 2 weeks on a diet and I am down 8 pounds total. More than I expected and likely just cause the initial lost of a diet is a lot at first, as I know you should only expect a pound or two a week. But, anyways this is a great motivator to keep me going. I love seeing the scale go down instead of up. I did great this week except a little hiccup involving beer and mcdonalds, but I was able to get right back on track afterward. So bravo me and I shall give myself a pat on the back. :)

Congrats on the weight loss and well done on not letting the one little slip up turn into a full scale binge fest :)

Just ended my 3rd week and my weight stayed the same at 229. Glad that I didn't gain any back and its no mystery why I didn't lose a pound or two. Started a new job that involved some physical labor I haven't been used to so ended up eating a lot more on several days than I probably should. I can also attribute my same weigh-in as last week to having a bit too much chinese food last night. I allow myself one cheat meal a week to enjoy my favorite foods in moderation. If I want to keep this up it is probably best that I allow myself such things every once in awhile.

Losing 8 pounds in 3 weeks is better than I expected anyway even though I didn't lose any this past week. Not going to beat myself up as I know I can only move forward and try to do better this week.
