My Journey has begun!

This is my first of many entries to come. I had a starting weight of 350 yesterday with a goal weight of 215. I went to the local gym yesterday and did some lifting on the machines and walked on the treadmill for 20 minutes. I then played basketball for 30 minutes. I want to take it slow for the first week or so. I'm already a little sore today. I am trying to keep my daily calories around 1500, mainly with lean meats and veggies. Even after 1 day I already feel better about myself and look forward to my journey. Stay tuned!

looks like your on your way to a good start but I think you may be attempting to cut calories a little to much at your current weight.

Good day today. 40 minutes of weights, 15 minutes walking, and 3/13ths of a mile jogging around the track.

1 Orange
1 Apple
6 inch Subway for lunch
6 inch Subway late afternoon
1 chicken breast
brown rice
broccoli

Day 3 was good. I didn't have time go to the gym today so i lifted some free weights at the house before leaving for work. I did a bunch of walking at work today. Maa, I'm getting sore. No pain no gain though.

1 apple
1orange
ft long Roasted Chicken Subway
Baked Fish
Brown rice
Corn

Youre starting and goal weight are really similar to my own, so I thought I'd come by and chit chat with ya.

The food looks pretty balanced, so nice work there. I do think at 350~ pounds that it might not be enough, but if you are LEGIT not hungry then it should be fine. The chicken breast is a pretty solid food. it has taken me pretty far in my weight goal, especially as a dinner meal, so I rave about it to anyone.

Regarding the sore muscles, or DOMS, once you get in a regular habit of lifting, and more importantly find your correct weight to train at, these sore muscles will cease dramatically. When you have time, I recommend you read some of the stickys around this forum, there is a wealth of information that dispels a lot of common myths about weight loss.

Welcome to the forum, good luck on your journey!

Day 4 was good. I did 30 minutes walking on the treadmill and 3/13ths of a mile jogging around the track. 30 minutes of weights.

2 turkey sandwiches on wheat
1 chicken breast
aspagus
baked potato

Day 7 is in the books. Feeling great. Didnt make it to the gym today but am hitting it hard tom. I did alot of walking today at work.

18 pounds in 8 days?

Hate to tell you this but that much weight loss that fast is dangerous to your health. People have died from losing weight that fast over a period of time. Yeah, some of that is water but some is also muscle and even then, that is a very dangerous amount. Please take this into consideration or least talk to a doctor.

I have been eating 2000+ calories for the last few days. I also have been drinking 100+ ounces of water per day. I feel great and feel if I'm not starving or over exercising myself then theres nothing to worry about. If I weighed 150 lbs. yes but not at 350. Thanks for your concern though. I'm sure the loss will slow down and stabilize.

Day 9 is about over. Hitting the gym hard tom. and grilling some chicken and peppers for dinner. Good night everyone.

Day 10 was the best of all. Feeling super. Ate fish , chicken, bran cereal, broccoli, rice, corn and a banana. Oh and a sandwich. Hit the gym hard. I cant wait untill tom. cya

DAy 11 is over. Time to hit the sack. Up nice and early, then to gym. Feeling great and on my way to looking great!

Day 12 is done and gone. Have decided to hold off on weighing in until my 30Th day. I'm feeling wonderfull. I love reading everyone's diaries. They keep me super motivated.
