:) Hello!

I'm 30 years old, married, have a six year old son and 200 pounds on myself :jump: . I used to write in this forum and help me a lot. After a while and no discipline I got frustrated and decide not to write again. This week I started reading others people diaries and gave me the courage to write again and give me another chance!!

This time I want to be positive and realistic. I'm a very fun person, have a lot of friends and love life. I want to be healthy to enjoy what I used to. I was thin all my life until I got pregnant. Ever since I am overweight. I think I never accept the fact that my body changed.

I want to record all my effort to recover my figure. I guess it will keep me motivated. Most important I want to share with other people experiences through this process. Feel free to write any sugestions.

I'm going to the gym today to take my meassures and weight. I guess the trainner will give me a routine. PLEASE HELP ME TO KEEP MY MOTIVATION. THERE IS NOTHING MORE IMPORTANT TO ME RIGHT KNOW THAN TO FEEL THAT I CAN DO THIS AND THAT I WILL.

THANKS!!!!!

Not a good day

Hello!!!

Today is not a good day for me. I feel with no energy and depress today. Yesterday I ate:

Mc Donnals breakfast :)confused: all the calories in the world  )

4 Strawberries - snack

Lean Cuisine - Lunch (250 calories)
Crystal Light
1 bananna

4 Strawberries - snack
Peach Yougurt (45 calories)

South beach pasta meal - dinner (300 calories)
Sprite Zero

I had a lot of water during the day.

I weight my self yesterday and this was the result.

203.4 pounds
31.5 I.M.C.

How do I feel ?? I don't know what to say. I am trying to follow a diet but I need to leave Mc Donnals breakfast behind. I need to eliminate this from my diet and keep my workout. I did spinning on saturday and guess what??? Yesterday I felt so stupid about my weight that skip the gym.

I will forgive this action and go to the gym today. As you all see I want to be honest about what I do correct and my mistakes. Yesterday - more or less good diet and water - Correct!!! No workout and Mc Donalds breakfast - horrible mistake  . I hope to leave this addiction - Coke and Mc Donalds breakfast, that will be my initial goal.

even with the McDonald's breakfast your calories still seem awfully low... and all that processed food would make your sodium levels really high, whcih could lead to water retention.

Are you using any kind of program to keep track of your nutritional info?

you can do this -just take it day by day - meal by meal and you will get to your goal...

question

Hi!!

Thanks for reading and posting in my journal. I am not in any weight loss program. I am trying to read and do research on how to do this by myself. If you have any ideas and sugestions , please post them here.

Do someone know how to change my signature and tricker with my new weight? I have last year one and since it is not real I want to change it.

Keep reading and posting here!!! Thanks.

I feel better today

Hello!

Today I started my day better than yesterday. I am sleepy but proud of myself for yesterday workout. Sometimes I feel confused about the choices of food. I try to eat every three hours to avoid the feeling of real hunger. Guess what??? I didn't have Mc Donald’s this morning for breakfast (big accomplishment) :) . After yesterday Biggest Looser Marathon in Bravo I have more motivation than ever. I love that show.

Wednesday is my favorite day of the week. Two days left of work, Baseball practice of my son (I have a lot of fun with other parents of the team) and a new Lost chapter. I think today is season finale!!!! Yes!! I like TV but only from 9pm to 11pm after my son sleep.

I will post my food diary tonight. The strategy will be to post twice a day, mornings to express my feelings and nights to write my food journal. I will post also in others people diaries. I want to make some new friend along this process. So, read my journal and post your own thoughts and strategies.

I dont watch TV when my daughter is awake either. Sometimes a movie is in for background noise, but at least I know what will be on the screen! TV is more scary... there are just things she does not need to know yet! She's nine. How old is your son?

Nice to meet you! I'll lurk in here and see how you're doing :).

Have a great evening!

Hey

Hi Notme!! Thanks for posting. I have a six year old wonderful son. He is the first reason why I decided to loose weight. He plays baseball and he likes activity. I want to be around him healthy and strong not flabby and fat. Yesterday was a great night, American Idol and Lost finales. I had a lot of fun. Now I don't have to see this shows, I can sleep early and have more energy for my workouts. Do you have a diary?

see you around!

chimistar - glad your here!

I find this forum supportive and very informative!!

It was only recently that I myself started eating breakfast. I started with McDonald's, but have now moved onto better choices.

Do you eat McD's because of the taste or the convenience? Planning - I've learned is a BIG part of the process and will keep you from making bad choices in the moment. Just my .02. There are others that are WAY more qualified than I to advise you. :)

Good afternoon Chimi!

I do have a dairy here somewhere. It's Dairy. EEK! or something similar to that. Dairy's scare me :).

My daughter is nine and very inactive. I definitely want to be a good example for her. I want her mainly to see me eating healthy because I have struggled mainly with food rather than with activity. I would either eat junk or just not eat. Neither of those were healthy behaviors for her to follow. She's a tiny kid though, even for being mainly inactive. She'd rather paint or make a clay statue than play a sport. She walks a mile with my husband and I after dinner though. She runs to the end of each blocks and I try very hard to not laugh at her running. She definitely runs like a girl!

Glad to see you again :)

Mc Donnalds

Hello Shubekk!!

Thanks for posting in my diary. At least someone read it and post in it lol. Well the Mc Donald’s thing is about both, flavor and convenience. Still I'm following your advice of planning the night before instead of jumping up the bed to the drive inn!! lol!!!!

I will take any advice. You know that all of us have some strategy or advice that we can give but some how don't follow yourself. That is the magic of this forum, you give and receive advices. At some point there will be something that we will do right, hopefully!!!

Keep reading and posting in my journal. For me it is a great motivation. That is the clue in this process, motivation. It's been years in my case trying to find motivation to be consistent and to have discipline. This forum is helping me.

See you soon,

chimistar

Hi notme

Hello again!!

It is so good that you have a routine as a family to walk together. That is great!! Sometime kids are not that athletic but they need support to make any kind of sport.

My son is a musician and a very creative child. He prefers to draw and to play with Legos. He does these amazing castles!!!! He is not the athletic child but still he loves to be active and to do what other boys do. So I found a baseball league near our house and he started practicing. He develops techniques and skills. Then I found that he might be good on this, and know he loves it. He played in the 7-8 years old category and he is only six. He did it so well that it surprised me. I never thought he was a sport kind of kid.

Now he has a trophy from his team and his selfsteem boost up to the sky. This experience made me realize that consistency is the key to success. Now I am starting again this journey. I'm not quitting even if I eat sometimes the wrong foods. I want to stay focus in my workouts and improving everyday my diet. Thanks for posting in my diary. It helps me to keep my motivation. I will read and post in yours :) .

Good afternoon Chimistar :)

When I first started eating breakfast, I needed to put it out for myself the night before so I'd have to look at it when I got up and not opt for the easy way out. I put out a cup of fruit or applesauce (the prepack ones) and a ziplock bag of cereal. I eat it dry because I hate milk. I'd put my viatmins next to it as well. Now I don't need to because I consistently eat breakfast, but it took me a couple months!

Keep working at it and you'll get there. Slow and steady :).

Hi Chimistar,

You're right, your story does sound like mine. Where did you go? You were making good progress. I too have trouble eating breakfast. I feel like I am force feeding myself. I would love to read about your recent progress. I'll keep checking back.
