My Journey Begins

My diary will consist of daily meals, exercise, and rambling! :)

Before I start, I'm 16 and I weigh just over 300 lbs.... this is pitiful, and I'm ashamed of myself. I've been overweight my whole life!

I'm hoping if I lose 100 lbs or so my mom will be inspired.

I always work out, then completely stop. At some periods of time I lost 10-20 lbs, and put it back on.

Progress pictures will come out once I see notable differences.

Anyway, letsa go!

Since it's night-time and I don't have much energy, that's all I felt like doing. My goal is to start cardio soon as I shed like 20 pounds.

Current weight: 306 lbs....
Current height: 6'2

What I ate/drank today: a big glass of chocolate milk so I could say goodbye to sweets one final time, a whole lot of water, Frosted flakes, Shrimp ramen noodles, salad.

Wish me luck, support would strongly help me right now!

Wow your enthusiasm is so inspiring.
You can do this.
Well done for doing your work out.

One thing though, you dont need to 'say goodbye' to sweets. You can still eat them in moderation. Check out Amy1985's diary, she eats chocolate most days and has lost an incredible amount of weight.

You will succeed.
Good luck.

Woohoo! I've gone 2 days so far. I'll keep counting! :hurray:

Wow - I love your enthusiasm! Remember to take it slow - don't try to do too much too soon.
You may need to look at what you are eating, you don't appear to be eating enough to fuel your body properly. Instead of skipping meals, try to make healthy food choices. It looks like you live in the US so you could use the food pyramid as a guide to get you started, and becuase you are in high school you may qualify for free dietician services. You could check with your guidance counselor to see what is available to you.
If your doctor says it's ok - you could start walking for cardio right away. It is a great exercise, and low impact so your ankles shouldn't hurt as much.
Good job!! Starting is the hardest part! Keep it up!

you have to eat more.
I lost a ton of weight and i didn't skip ONE meal.

You don't have to loose weight.
You have to change your life forever.
Loosing weight isn't starving yourself for six months.
It's a new life.

June 21, 2011

I'm eating so little because times are hard and food is scarce. I'm trying to make things last till the end of the month.

Something bad happened already. Whenever I work out I usually do calf lifts. Like last year I did them, and then they were sore. But not this horrible...

I couldn't sleep last night because the pain in my calfs was so horrible. The slightest movement sent huge jolts of pain. I was told to just rest for a couple days, and then take it easy on my legs if I'm going to workout again. This is a horrible start :(

But I weighed myself (hard to do when my legs hurt so bad that I can't stop trying to move.)

My current weight is 303. I guess it's because I haven't eaten much at all in the last few days, and I worked really hard.

Total pounds lost.... 3.

I'll probably just continue my lots of water for tommorrow and rest, and if I'm up to it, I can do something that won't require my legs. I got to much energy to rest.

Things I did today:

nothing :(

What I ate today:

Omelette and milk, alot of water, a gogurt, and a piece of cheesecake to celebrate a late fathers day lol.

status: pissed.

Wish me luck on healing.

My legs are better, but I've decided to stop with all the information I'm posting. I'll update the thread with major losses over time , don't worry.
