My interestingly named Journal

Hi

I havent looked in on you for a while. I was away at my school reunion.

Anyway - I am back now.

Well done on dropping to 220 pounds. You are doing really well.

I have stayed pretty steady weightwise over the past week - the school reunion caused me a little over-indulgence which nullified my efforts. At least I am not higher than I was before.

I know what you mean regarding the boobs. I am convinced that mine will never look right. The skin is not shrinking even though the contents and the ribcage measurement is reducing. It is leaving me with huge half empty bags hanging in front which I just have to bundle into a large cup size. I bought a new bra on Friday. My previous bra was 50G - but I was measured at the shop and bought a 42H. The lady said that a 40I would fit me better but she didnt have one in stock.

I am taking vitamins which are supposed to be good for the skin, drinking plenty of water and creaming / oiling key areas. If the skin contracts as I would like that would be good. If I get down to target and my skin has not shrunk - I will probably give it a couple of years to settle and then look at having plastic surgery if I have major issues with what I see.

Take care

I am down to 217.6 :). Still haven't updated my ticker, I am so lazy! Am just munching on a salad with low calorie dressing right now :)

Well done for losing another 2.4 pounds. Get that ticker updated girl!!!!
You are making really good progress.

Thanks :) I am really sorry for being so scarce .. am still in process of moving into new house and everything is hectic. Still going great tho! I was 213.8 this morning, can't believe how fast it's going. How are you?

It's strange .. I feel much more confident, even though if I am honest with myself, at my height I probably don't look THAT much different. I extended the credit limit on my Evans store card yesterday and bought some new clothes and jewellery, all much more flamboyant stuff than I normally wear. Might even get my hair done and I HATE hairdressers!

Hi

You will be rushed off your feet if in the process of moving. You have done wonderfully to maintain your weight loss in such circumstances.

I am fine thanks - and am happy to say that things are progressing nicely on the weight loss project. I know that I look different to what I did - but want to lose such a lot more weight that I am trying to buy very little in the way of clothes while I am at hopefully "interim sizes". I think that new essentials will be from Tescos - cannot complain at their prices. I want to save my money for clothes at the size that I want to be.

I imagine that you have enjoyed your shopping spree though. It would be nice to buy nice things on the way down - but I am not currently working and want to save most of my clothes money for the new me.

Did I see somewhere that you are in Cumbria? Are you from Cumbria originally? I ask because my parents are Cumbrian.

Take care

Hey hey! Hope the moving is going well... and did you get your hair done?? Congrats on the loss, keep it up :) You are doing a really great job!

Hi, once more apologies for not having been here till now! I should be back regularly now as things are more settled :)

I have lived in Cumbria since I was 4 ... am from the midlands originally. Which bit of cumbria are your parents from if you don't mind my asking?

Am still going :) 206.8 this morning. It's really starting to show .. actually it's showing a lot. Obviously I am still obese. I guess, but there is a big difference!

Lots to go tho :(

I am pleased that things are more settled for you. Moving house is always an exhausting task. We have moved twice this century - and hopefully it will be a while before we do it again.

I know just what you mean about being still obese but there being a big difference. I am exactly the same.

I am still obese - but skinny compared to the woman I was. It does feel good doesnt it? Still a long way to go here too.

My father was born and brought up in Workington. The family historically were from the Solway plain area.

My mother's family were in Wigton. Historically from the Longtown area.

When my parents were first married they lived in Carlisle.

I was brought up in Newcastle - but often went across to visit various aunties and uncles. My father was the youngest of nine - so I had lots of aunties and uncles to visit.

Take care

Ah Workington .. I am in Whitehaven do you know it?

Once again I apologise for the tardiness of the reply .. I will be here more often now that things are more settled :). Am at 200.8! How are you doing?

Have finally updated my ticker .. have lost 24 lbs since I last did! Am really happy to see that my BMI has dropped by five. What does 35 mean? is that the border of fat/obese or the border of obese/really obese? (please say the former :D)

Does anyone remember me? I've not been here for ages.. been having computer woes and the computer I am on right now does not like this forum; it has taken me a long time to load this page. I am down to 188 now though .. pretty pleased with myself but still a way to go.

184 :) heh I use a dial up so updating the ticker is a painfully slow process.

I can't believe how far I've come .. it's weird to look back on the first few entries. I don't kid myself that I am at an acceptable weight yet tho.

you're doing great - and making progress every day and that's what matters :)

it's always good to look behind you and see how far youo have come
