My interestingly named Journal

Day nine .. in the morning. Not had brekkie yet but going to soon. It's been a long nine days but it's been worth it .. I can tell my stomach has shrunk some already. Long way to go tho :(

Hey Moose, hope your spirits are higher than the other day :).

Just remember not to make this tougher on yourself than it has to be. Well, lets say at first its almost a breeze. Its later when you hit the plateaus that it gets a lot harder, but by then hopefully you've gotten into the whole thing and will keep fighting (that's my situation now, I've been visiting Plateausville all summer). Sometimes it helps to post what you've eaten during the day to keep track of what works and what doesn't.

If you want to add a weight loss ticker to your signature, go to tickerfactory.com.

Have a great day sweetie :).

Heh I was thinking of adding a ticker when I got to ten lbs down :). This is day ten, still doing well, had bobbed back up a pound today though .. irritating! I know it's just water as I've not been cheating at all and I've stuck with the diet and exercise so hopefully it will drop off again in a day or two :).

Hello! Weekend is not bad thanks :). Not doing anything fun - well unless you count foruming and playing an online game I am addicted to LOL - but am feeling okay. This is day 11! According to my new superdooper scales I had lost four tenths of a pound since yesterday which is encouraging.

Spent a fortune on diet foods earlier .. had a really nice chicken salad for lunch though with just a drizzle of balsamic vinegar. Strange, but I am not missing junk foods.

Wow Moose, you are doing fabulously! Good job making it to 12 days. At this rate you'll be seeing beautiful results soon enough :).

What kind of diet foods did you end up with?

Heh same as usual .. salad, fruit, cottage cheese and .. erm, some weight watchers goodies :). Guess that they're not all that nutritious but they're calorie counted at least.

lol... I hafta eat things that I can count the calories on... I feel like I'm in more control of myself, which in a way is true... but yeah- some of the weight watcher "goodies" have sooo much sugar and stuff... I read an article once that said to stay under 26grams of sugar a day- holy hunnies, ya don't realize the amounts ya eat in a day!
ANyways, your doing awesome, keep it up :D

Thanks Jess I hope you are doing well too :). Am on my way to check out your journal.

Another six tenths of a pound down today! I know that this loss ain't gonna keep up for much longer but it's nice whilst it lasts.

Day 13!

Another two tenths of a pound down! Heh feels good to see a loss, even if just a small one, on a daily basis .. much better than waiting to see a whole pound come off and getting frustrated that it takes days.

Nother day nearly over. Am feeling a bit depressed at how long this is gonna take but pleased that I've managed nearly two weeks.

Well done!

I meant to ask -- what store did you find the Weight Watchers stuff at?

Tesco :). Most supermarkets in the UK sell a wide range though.

Another six tenths of a pound down today! that makes ten in total, if you count the three I was already down when I started. It's been a fortnight today too.

ooo TESCO... i miss tesco. I used to live in Nottingham and would visit my local tesco all the time hehe

oh i miss living in england :(

Your doing well on your diet ! keep it up

Iwas born near Nottingham :) Worksop.

Yeah Tesco have quite a good range of diet foods I've found. Morrison's do the most heavenly cottage cheese tho .. it's called Longley Farm and I've been eating it for years. Slightly more calorific than most I think but well worth it.

hehe

i was born in Newcastle, but the family home is in lincolnshire. I was at uni in notts so lived there a bit over a year.

Cottage cheese is yummy. never tried that brand though

Hmmm. I've never seen any of it in Tesco, but then I haven't really looked for it. The one here is a little lacking in selection on a lot of things, too. Actually, all four stores are a bit lacking. Maybe that's just my American-ness showing through, with expectations that don't match the reality.

I'll have to look for some stuff next time I put a Tesco order in.

Ah I know Newcastle pretty well .. my mum is from there.

Yeah Tescos has quite a good range of both Weight Watchers stuff and their own range healthy meals .. worth looking for.

Still doing well here! Was same weight today as yesterday (down to the tenth of a pound LOL) but that's fine, I know I can't expect a loss every day.

Seems like you're doing well!

Remember to keep the 'journey' mentality in mind. The 'desination' mentality is a road leading to regret and let-down.
