My HEAVY Diary, tracking my progress!

Hmm, I need some ideas for good breakfasts.. have no idea what to make. Will have to do some research!

Been reading some things and seeing perhaps a more protein sort of meal in the morning helps you fill fuller for longer? as well as having Carbs or so.. hmm.
If anyway one has good ideas would love to hear :)

I like to eat oatmeal in the morning. It keeps me full longer and has lots of fiber.

I like eggs on toast - I use Weight Watchers Whole Wheat bread so it's only 100 calories for 2 slices and I toast that while I cook my eggs in these microwave cookers I picked up so I can make them at work. I cook one full egg and then two egg whites for the extra protein. I don't put butter on the toast to save on cals but I use a little bit of ketchup on the eggs and put a forkload of egg on the toast and eat it like that - yummmm.
Otherwise I like yogurt with fresh berries or fruit and sprinkle some all bran buds on them for extra fiber!
Looking good though!! Keep up the hard work for our team!!

Mmm I like eggs on toast too heh, was actually thinking about having it for breakfast too, will have to try the idea of using 1 egg, and 2x egg whites for protein, and a little ketchup is nice. mm could never get sick of fruit! Yoghurt, berries... sounds so enticing hah! :D

Thanks for advice guys :):)

Going to try cooking meals for my day and just pack, and put it in small portions and just eat them throughout the day, every 3 hrs or so, incorporating veggies and all. Rather then getting hungry and over eat, making wrong food choices of what to eat.

Thinking up a meal plan is going to be tough! Other then working on my food woes, need to get myself to the gym, just got back from work 2hrs ago... dead tired :x Working in the Aged care. So don't think I'll hit the gym tonight, or tomorrow. Probably hit the gym Monday morning and get back into the routine.

Got a job interview at another Aged care Sunday 11AM so hopefully it shall go well, a friend is wanting me to come work their with her.

Didn't head out to the gym today - as I knew I wouldn't - however did well eating wise, only had a chicken and lettuce sandwich, fruits, and stirfry beef with snowpeas and capsicum.

I also made a veggie soup for the week which has; Celery, capsicum, onion, cabbage, and tomato. This soup has really worked well for me in passed meal planning when I did lose weight but lost motivation.
However this time I'm tackling my meal plan at a different angle by incorporating more meals -in smaller portions- throughout the day in roughly 3hr intervals. This ends up being about 5-6 meals a day, one of these 5-6 meals during the day going to be that lovely veggie soup.

I also managed to get myself to the shops and buy, Rolled Oats [Thanks to Akani1 for suggesting it,] along with protein powder, and Flaxseeds. These items are mainly for my breakfast and post workout meals, these of course will make up a protein shake to drink along with a Banana. I prefer this compared to traditional breakfasts, as my stomach never seems to handle breakfasts in the morning and usually end up with quite a sore stomach, though this can be said to be the same with the proposed protein shake/meal I will be doing, regardless I'm simply going to trial it for 2-3 weeks and see how I go with this meal plan.

Monday's weigh has arrived; 109kg (239.8) Lost 2.5lb or 0.9kg Not overely thrilled since I could of done way better. But I can't say I didn't expect it as I haven't been going to the gym sooo need to get my ass into gear!

Thanks Sunflower! or should I say "her royal crumpet," hehe.

Just got home from gym, 45mins Cardio, 30mins Strength.

Congrats on the weight loss! Doesn't it feel great!?

Second day into my new meal plan, it's doing pretty good. Just had my morning shake, then off to the gym in 1-2hrs.

didn't end up going to the gym, it was so darned hot, however, I did end up going to the beach when it cooled down for a great 50min walk.

Pretty happy with myself this morning, despite the hot weather I persisted and went to the gym (I have to walk to the gym so its horrid, especially walking back home as it starts to go uphill + sun grilling you alive,) it's about a 10min walk to the gym and another 10min back, not too long but hell... hhaha regardless gym is out of the way today, now it's just eating right and drinking plenty of water :)

ok, I sorta failed on the eating part today... I think I binged on about 1500 calories haha... all over I think I went 2000+ calories today.. however I don't really count them.. just know when enough is enough... however apparently not today.. oh the temptations, dam my family for cooking such yummy food! :drooling:

Oops!!! Sorry to hear you didn't do so well today with the eating hun. We all have these days though. Sometimes I'm glad I don't live with family and temptations of their home cooking. My Dad makes some MEAN stew and dumplings and I'd hate to think how many calories go into that as he throws pretty much anything-and-everything he can find in there! Nice to meet you btw and thanks for stopping by my diary earlier :) Much appreciated x

Yes, can be hard to resist those temptations :( Pleasure to meet you too!

Well so far this morning I had a good 90min work out, 60mins cardio, and 30mins resistance.

Saturday morning, still a bit sleepy.. I feel today may become a cheat day, as I have a friends' 21st Birthday party later on today.. so lots of nice foods. If anything I better hit the gym this morning.. and get a good workout happening, since yesterday I didn't go to the gym after work.. work really wiped me out dead.

Hey! How have you been?

It's good to see you're doing well with your workout! Don't worry about that cheat day - everyone needs one every once in a while. Hope you have a great weekend!
