My good days, my bad days, my random thoughts

Thanks, everyone!

As for my neck, it's good. *knock on wood*

It's not awesome, but it's good. I haven't mentioned it in here yet, but I was in an accident yesterday on my way home from work. I got rear-ended. No whiplash or any physical effects from it... just a busted up car. Soon as I was hit I did some neck checks and there were no (more) problems and this morning, the same.

As a result of said accident I got today (and tomorrow) off (while I figure out how the woman who hit me is going to pay for the damages and my rental for the next week) and managed to get to the gym this afternoon. It was much nicer. A sane amount of people, lots of room to move about. Did chest and triceps. Considering I'm still in the feeling out phase, I would say it was a very good workout.

I'll be back in there tomorrow for back and shoulders if all goes well.

OMG, Fish, I'm glad you're okay! Keep an eye on that neck for delayed residuals. :)

Had a very busy weekend with Friday being consumed by phone calls between me, my insurance company, a couple auto body shops in the area and trying to get everything sorted out so that I can get back to work tomorrow. Saturday was a friend's wedding and reception. Today was chore day... laundry, groceries, etc.

My workout on Friday f'n rocked as far as feeling like I accomplished something. Since I didn't go to work Friday I went to the gym around noonish and it was nearly empty. Got a good leg and shoulder workout in and really really felt it yesterday and today. Legs have always been a favourite for me.

Diet wasn't great. I think I stayed within my calories at the wedding even including my beer but today I ended up about 500 shy of where I should be and that was including a double-scoop whey protein drink at the end of the day to help bring my numbers up. It was just too busy to eat enough. I tried, but alas... no.

I've been sick all weekend (started the night of the accident) which has sucked. I am coughing like a smoker over here. I can only hope that passes soon as well.

Anyway, I figured I should update this since I hadn't in a couple days but now it's off to bed. Tomorrow is weigh-in day for me. Scale has been up and down the last couple days so I'm not sure where it will land tomorrow. I hope to be down at least a pound and that puts me about 1.5-2 lbs away from my 190 end-of-May goal. Fingers are crossed.

Hope everyone had a good weekend.

Hey, thought I would come see how you were doing... sorry to hear about the accident, but I'm really glad your ok! ...and congrats on your weight-loss!!! wow! Keep it up! Your doing great!! :D

Hey Fish just stoppin' by to see how it's going. Congrats on the weight loss thus far! That ROCKS!
And thanks for the help on how to post pics on my pics page! As always, your help is very much appreciated!
Well I will check back... HAVE A GREAT REST OF THE WEEK!

Wow, you're doing great. The car accident could have been the perfect excuse for you to trash your healthy lifestyle for a bit...kudos. I can't believe how great you're doing. That ticker keeps going down and down. Wish I could be as driven...

I'm still not feeling great, but if my head at least clears up to the point where I don't get the light-headedness today will be a gym day. I haven't been back since last week.

It's been a pretty unstable period since my last post. There's been the sickness, a wedding, insurance snafus, a lot of added stress and annoyance... this has affected my diet. First, my wraps that I usually love have tasted like ass this week. I don't know if it's because of the illness or maybe the meat is funny? Smells okay. I dunno. So today I'm having Subway. Haven't had it in ages and I decided 'What the hell!'. It'll be a nice change.

My f'd up diet #s:

May 25: 1469, 23f/35c/42p
May 26: 1979, 16f/43c/32p/10a (alcohol)
May 27: 1833, 23f/45c/33p

Here's what I am figuring on today:

Breakfast: WW english muffin w/ ham & cheese (68g ham, 1 slice cheese)

Snack: 1 apple

Mid-morning: 6" Subway club w/cheddar, apple

Snack: 1 apple (ran out of bananas and berries!!!!!)

Mid-afternoon: 6" Subway club w/cheddar

Post-workout: Shake (65g whey powder, 50g dextrose, 5g creatine)

Dinner: Angus burger w/cheese

Dessert: 200g 0% Strawberry Yogurt

Totals: 2201, 18f/47c/35p

Thanks everyone for checking in. Glad to help, Paula. Have a great day, all!

Dude, Im sorry I missed the post about the accident. Glad you are okay. When do you get your car back? I think you got this month won hands down. Ive been really stugglin for the past couple of weeks. Ill get you in June though.
Take care man and hope everything works out.

Thanks, littlekeylime... it's BEEN going down and down, but it's slowed down considerably and I have a feeling I may be up this week. My scale has been funny.

Thanks, Matt. FYI, y'all can call me Brad. :D I don't know what's going on with my car. It's in the shop now waiting for parts to arrive. In the meantime I'm driving a rented Mazda3. Nice car, but was hoping for something with better mileage. Nothing they have even comes close to touching mine, but it'd have been nice to not pay half my regular monthly fuel budget in one week.

As far as struggling goes, I'm not sure what to make of what the scale is telling me right now. It's only been several days so it could be nothing, but I feel that something is up. I don't have my spreadsheet here at work but if you could see the numbers in it and the graph it's made recently you'd see what I'm talking about. Maybe I will post them tonight.

So we'll see how things progress through the rest of the week, but I have a feeling that 190 or under is not happening in May. We'll see, but I'd put money on it at this point.

As for June, I'm in, man. :D Can't wait. New month, new start, new goals... it's all good.

Sorry, but I just haven't gotten the Brad thing in my head yet. Fish is such a better name. Have you thought of changing it?

Brad it is then. :) I know what you mean about somthing going on. Me too. I thought I would never break 200. Kinda sad cause it took some of the excitement away.

Ok I missed something...your name is Brad? Is it short for Bradley or just Brad?

Very cool, that's my brother's name :)

*Calls out* "Brad! Where are ya?!?"

It's quiet in here. Come back soon and give us updates. Hope everything is okay and you are staying on track. :)
