My Goal for summer

I always fail at diets. But i just got a reality check, and there is like 3 months till summer, and i'm sorry but i don't want to be hiding myself this summer haha. SO. i'm actually going to be good(stay away from those nasty yummy treats!), i'm going to stick with the gym and NOT give up. I'm tierd of always giving up. I'm not that kind of girl. I like to get what i want(ha that sounds bad..) but yeah I want to be able to feel good, and show my stomach off in a bikini this summer. So i'm going to do it.
I have support from my parents and friends. The only support i don't have is from myself, but that will change. I have started to eat right and go to the gym and i'm going to continue this.

My goal is to loose 15 pounds for summer. (really 20, but i'm scared to put that as my goal.) Of course if i reach 15pounds i will still keep going to loose weight.

I'm about 5'6" , and well i haven't weighed myself in a few weeks. but i'm guessing i haven't lost or gained weight. so i'm about 140 pounds.
I really just want to get rid of that extra stomach fat. Its not flattering , and i'm so tierd of it. And i don't think summer wants to see it ;)

K. so some things i'm going to start/keep doing are:
-eat only whole wheat foods(pasta, bread etc.)
-water, water, water!! i need to start drinking water!
-veggies and fruit (i'm pretty good with this though :) )
-try and balance my foods, not too much carbs or anything. etc.
-NO- cookies, chips, regular pop(ugh.), sugary drinks, candy:(

EXERCISE:
-Go to the gym at least 4x a week.
at the gym i will: -30min on ellipticals, 20 min on bikes, 10 min treadmill(walking a fast pace), do ab workouts, leg work outs, and back workouts.

Hopefully , i can keep a diary on here. I'm going to try my hardest to write down everything i eat, and what i do for exercise each day on here. It can help me see how well i'm doing. Yay i'm excited to loose weight! =D

**If anyone can help me out, and give me some suggestions to help me loose this weight then pleaseee do so. Extra help would be aweome!
 
Day One

I guess ill count today as day one, hehe.
i think i did alright.

Exercise: I was able to go to the gym for a half hour before work and i went on the ellipticals for that whole 30 mins.

breakfast: 1 slice of whole whole wheat toast with cheese spread, Grapes, yogurt, half cup orange juice.

Lunch: One Mini Whole wheat wrap with leftover veggie stirfry with rice with tatziki spread inside it. A BIG glass of water. And an nice big orange:)
-at work i had an ice tea (UGH.)

Dinner: (btw. i'm vegetarian.)
Boca Burger with a bun (i haven't had a chance to get whole wheat buns yet >.< )on my burger i had tatziki spread, feta cheese and a slice of tomato.. and a small bowl of ceasar salad on the side. A big glass of water!
I had ice cream for dessert.. chocolate icecream, oh man thats deadly. :(

i'm not sure if that tatziki sauce is good... and same with the feta cheese. But i looove it. :(

Bedtime snack, well its already 10pm so its to late for anything. So i'm going to make some tea :)
and i always have a big glass of water before i go to bed.

Day Two

i'm in suchh a bad mood today, ugh i hate this weather. Anyways. Right now i really want chocolate. errr! i grabbed an apple sauce instead.. we have like no fruit in the house right now. I'm so tempted to grab chocolate, but no i can't.. I DO have self control, ! K so. ill go shower and hopefully forget about the chocolate craving. ahaha.

So far today, i went to the gym this morning, i'm in a crappy mood so i just went for like 50 min i think.
I went on the Ellipticals for 25 min (i couldnt do 30 for some reason.)
I did 15 min on the bike (again, couldnt do that extra 5..)
and then i did one thing for my abs, and one thing for my legs.
Not the greatest, but i'm glad i made myself go or i'd feel even more crappy :)

Breakfast: 1 slice of whole wheat toast with cheese spread. Yogurt, orange and a nice cup of tea:)

I got hungry before the gym so i had a slice of banana bread (UGH,)

Lunch: Boca Burger (in weight watchers its only 1 point, so it is healthy! ) and i had tatziki spread with feta cheese on it and a slice of tomato. And a nice big glass of water. :D and an apple sauce.
-Okay, so it seems like thats a little big for lunch. blahhh.

I had some green tea, about an hour before dinner.
Dinner: Veggie stirfry with low fat thai dressing. on the side i had a salad. With a BIG glass of water :)

**Can any body help me out, i'm so tierd of trying to loose that weight on my stomach, but no matter what i do it just doesnt go away, it looks really bad. .

This is a big deal for me to be putting this pictures on here. Because i'm so embarassed of my body. But hopefully it will help me want to loose weight, and i will be able to see my progress! And no, i'm not preg. but i am aware i look like it.

Day 3

Breakfast: Oatmeal, half an orange and tea.
Lunch: Whole wheat Mini cheese and tomato quesadilla. BIG glass of water.
Snack: Apple.
Dinner: 4 vegetarian nuggets (200 cal.) , whole wheat rice(not even half a cup.), and green beans (alot of them, yumm!) and a BIG glass of water. for dessert i had some pineapple and grapes. YUM

I went to the gym for an hour or so. had a BIG water bottle.
25 min on the elliptical, and 20 min on the bike.

I'm going to bed. guna have a big glass of water.
**Need to start drinking more water.

hey Mel, good luck in losing weight, i'm on the same track but takes me longer to get to the destination...lol wish you luck again;)

and for the ticker. um you like go to the home page, and click newbies or something, and then click tips for newbies. I THINK.
i did it fast a few days ago and don't really remember.. sorry. and yeah i just added mine to my signature so i don't know why yours didn't work..
 
Day 4

Breakfast: oatmeal and grapes.
Snack: Grapes and a bran bar.
Lunch: Mini whole wheat wrap with lettuce, 2 fake chicken nuggets(100cal.) and feta cheese. Grapes and yogurt and a BIG glass of water.
Snack:Mini bag of low fat popcorn. and a BIG glass of water.
Dinner:small Caesar salad, green beans (Yumm), 3 vegetarian nuggets (150cal.)--almost same as last night, haha my bad, i need to get more dinner ideas.-- a BIG glass of water, and 1/2 cup of chocolate milk .
Dessert:1/2cup vanilla ice cream with strawberry's and banana

blahh. i'm really upset i am not able to make it to the gym tonight, ugh i feel huge now!! =[
Well, i'm going to do some at home workouts then i suppose, even though i hate those!!
i really don't think i'm eating good.. like i'm worried its way to much food for one day?

Day 5

woww. only the 5th day and i failed. but whatever i'm going to put today behind me and carry on, everyone has these days.. blurrrg.

breakfast:Oatmeal, 1/2cup apple juice and a BIG glass of water.
Snack: Apple, Bran bar. and water bottle.
Lunch:A slice of pumpernickel bread with feta cheese and tomato(yumm) , a BIG glass of water, and a oatmeal banana muffin with chocolate chips (UGH.)
Snack:3 cookies(This is what happens when i go to friends houses. fuckk,.:banghead: ) and a BIG glass of water.
Dinner: (Of course my mom makes this.. just to top my unhealthy day off ha...) Taco meat (vegetarian) with melted cheese and salsa in a mini whole wheat wrap. . man so unhealthy! but delish. with that i had cauliflower and a BIG glass of water. Dessert i was good, and just had strawberrys and banana cut up in a bowl:) yum.

I went to the gym, not long though, blahh. but i did 35 min of ellipticals, and 12 min of the bikes.
I'm going to make tea and hop into bed now.
Starting fresh tomorrro!

wel done on all those healthy choices you have been making
don't beat yourself up about three cookies just sweat them out at the gym.
as for losing fat from your stomach I'm pretty certain I've read that it is not possible to spot reduce problem areas (i.e. lose weight from just one place) and that the answer is just to keep burning those calories off through exercise in order to reduce body fat overall. Keep at it hun - we are very similar weights and have very similar targets so i will definitely be stopping back here to see how youre getting on and hopefully to pick up some tips!

Day 6

Yeah, i've read that too.. err . i really wish i was able to just loose weight there haha whatever.. i hope i can just be able to look good for the summer. and so far i am not giving up at the eating or the exercising.. and i'm feeling positive so i guess thats good. and alright, we can keep eachother on track! haha.. goodluck!:)

Snack: Popcorn, water.
Dinner: Whole wheat spaghetti with spaghetti sauce. and broccoli , and water. Dessert i had cut up banana and strawberrys. again.

I went to the gym , did 30 min on the elliptical, 20 min on the bike and some back thing, and butt thing.

off for some tea. :).
 
Day 7 (Yesterday)

Breakfast: Special K cereal, 1/2 cup orange juice. water.
Snack:Apple, bran bar, water.
Lunch: Left over Spaghetti and sauce, green beans and water.
Snack: Brushetta and crackers..(bad choice.. blahhhh.)
Dinner: Vegetarian chicken nugget thing filled with a little cheese(220 cal.) and green beans...
Dessert....i dont wanna say it. but i had a chocolate bar.. and i didn't even make it to the gym.. and i drank a bit too..:banghead:

I feel like i'm going to be stupid for the weekends, because i usually get wasted both friday and saturday night.. then things get bad.. i don't know what to dooo. like i'm not going to not drink.. but ahh. :(

this was a terrible day.
 
Day 8

Its day 8, and now i'm starting to think that i will fail at doing this.. because i had 2 bad days out of 8... and i'm getting drunk tonight so that doesnt help. Ughh.

I did a 30 min tone video (water.). not guna make the gym tonghtt cause i work then i have plans. blah.

Breakfast: Special K cereal, water, yogurt.
Lunch: Tomato soup(210 cal.) w/ soda crackers 12(160cal.)3 thin slice cheese. water.
Dinner: cheese and lettuce sandwich on whole wheat bread. and water.

as for alch. i had 6 beers and half a 2 6 of sour puss..

:waving: Melxxx!!! At first you are gonna get your set backs. Dont worry.. You gotta be Positive and keep your mind on the right track. Yeah you had a couple bad falls but like you siad you haven' quit on your working out. So that is a major plus.

As for the drinking, trust me I know it. I love to drink onthe weekends. Heck I lose more track onthe weekends with my eating. When I drink I get the munches real bad. For the first time in a long time I have not drink on the weekends. For now. I wanna to see if it would make a difference. It's hard but i am doing it.

So you keep positive and drink your WATER!!!!
 
Day 9!

i'm on and off of being positive i just really hope i don't give up, and with summer coming i don't think i will cause i know i really want to do this. Ugh, the thought of not drinking makes me cringe ahha kidding. but yeah iuno if i could. maybe i will though.

and support is good, so thanks! and i found i am drinking alot more water then ever, like thats all i have been drinking and its weird having orange juice in the morning ahah .

Breakfast: Whole wheat bagel with herb and garlic cream cheese, apple juice.(soo good when your hungover.)
Lunch: 1cup of fat free bushes baked beans. and water.
Snack: Popcornn, at workk. since i work at kernals. ahahaa.
Dinner: whole wheat spahgetti with pesto sauce, and green beans! Yum,. and water.
Dessert: Fat free orange jello:)

I went to the gym early this morning, i think i was still a little drunk ahaha.
but surprisingly it went good, 30 min on ellipticals, and 20 on the bike, and i did some weight stuff.

Oh yeah.. My hungover foods are Mexican foods. I loooove it.. I'm not saying quit drinking. I know I cant quit. But I just wanted to slow down. LOL! Trust me it's hard for me. I wanted to have another child but becuase I wouldnt for 9 months.. Forget it. I'm not ready to give up completely.LOL! Well. You have a GREAT day and drink lots of WATER!!!
 
The best thing you can do for trying target weight loss is to work those abs while doing crunches. And you need to be patient, it's not going to come off over night. :) It's hard, I know. Patience is one of my worst areas. Have you tried doing pilates or yoga? I've done pilates in the past and they're really good at working out your core (both back and abs) and they also help improve your posture a lot too. I've heard yoga is good for your abs too, though I've never tried it myself.

Out of curiousity, how long have you been a vegetarian? The reason I ask is I'm curious if the Boca burgers taste at all like "real" hamburgers? I love me some cheeseburgers but of course they aren't very good for you and I just saw Fast Food Nation, which makes me want to never eat a fast food burger again!

Oh, I forgot to mention! A couple things to keep on hand to avoid those sweet cravings are sugar free gum and Jello sugar free pudding packs. They come in a bunch of different flavors and they're all under 100 calories per cup. I really like the chocolate raspberry and the chocolate moccacio flavors. =x

i would like to try yoga, and i know my friends would too so i should look into that.. but i do love going to the gym but i guess an extra thing like yoga wouldn't hurt ahha.
i've been vegetarian for about 4 years. boca burgers are AMAZING. i love them. there's also different veggie burgers i have, but boca are my favorite. you should definitely try them, way better then fast food burgers haha. i can't really taste the difference between the boca and real burgers but its been a while so i don't know lol.
And yes! i love jello, my mom made fat free jello for dessert.
 
I'll have to see if I can find some without mushrooms then... I detest mushrooms with every fiber of my being, and I know they commonly have them in Boca burgers.
 
Day 10

Oh man i loveee mushrooms, i didn't know boca burgers had them in there though, definitely can't taste them lol. oh well

Breakfast:

--->NO WATER? oh maan. i cant eat anything else tonight , and only can drink water. ! ahh.

Okayyy., I feel like i'm all a sudden eating terrible.
I need to eat better.
Starting tomorrow , i need to work hard in order to reach my goal, i'm NOT giving up! i always do and i am not this time,. i'm going to reach my goal and be happy. i'm going to start planning my meal, each sunday night or whatever ill make up what i'm going to eat for the week. i find that works best for me,. cause i always slip into that hole of "one chip or chocolate wont hurt, and turns into half a bag of chips or a few chocolates! ahahaa. so yeah. meal plan i'm making one!

its kind of weird , but i can't just stop at 15:02 if i tell myself i'm stopping at 15 min it has to be on the dot, if its like 15:02 i need to keep going to 20... i guess its good though so i can get more done.. :).
