My get fit journal

Ahhhh I'm very sorry to hear that kwoehlk. I hope things get better between you and your boyfriend. But don't let this experiance make you forget your goal and all the hard work you've done, your doing such a great job with your weight loss, just keep it up and you will be at your goal in no time. And as for those McDonalds Fruit N'Yogurt Parfaits, it is true there low in calories and fat, but they are really high in sugar, 21 grams to be exact. Who knows maybe the sugar doesn't bother you because you seem to be doing great with your weight loss while eating that, just thought I should let you know. Have a great night :)

Sounds as though you are doing a great job Kwoehlk! You have similar objectives to myself. I lost 48 odd pounds, but now I want to get fit, build up muscle, and then try and cut that hard to lose body fat that still clings to my torso - through healthy balanced eating, strength training, and cardio.

I can't comment on Uncle Bens, because I try to avoid most ready or processed meals in favour of wholesome foods - but not exclusively, I'm not a monk! You might want to consider working out your daily calorific requirements, then checking your calories - remember, you can't build muscle while at the same time cutting below your calorific requirement, so it pays to do one thing at a time - either cut for weight loss (hopefully mainly body fat!), or bulk for muscle.

I could recommend that you eat often, and try to include some good quality protein with most meals - and dont forget that you need rest periods between exercising various muscles - I run one day, then strength train another - with a complete rest day every five days. Good luck with your quest!
