Day 22

Today's Weight: 182.0

Yesterday's Diet:

Breakfast: French toast with sausages. Bad I know but it tasted very good and I didn't have seconds.

Lunch: It was a taco salad eaten with chips which wasn't the best but I didn't have a lot. Had a bit of left over chicken as well.

Dinner: Sarma(no clue how to spell it) which is a Croatian dish prepared by my aunt's mother(not my grandma). I don't really know what's in it but I think it's cabbage, pork and ground pork. I didn't have that much of it, I wasn't very hungry. I also denied the cheese bread which I kind of wanted. I was craving so hard last night, I don't know why. I don't usually crave like that, maybe it was the drastic change in my eating habits. I ended up having half a peach and two tablespoons of frozen yogurt at around 9 o'clock. Terrible!

Yesteday's Workout: I went for 2 water ski runs which are very draining. If only my wrists were stronger, I'd be able to go longer but they were too tired. Still drained me pretty good, I crashed on the couch after lunch when we got back. I went for a run when I got home, 1.75 miles in 20 minutes. With a couple sets of push ups some ab workout and some bicep curls.

So the weekend is done, I seriously wish that I could stay at home and eat MY food and workout when I want to! Grrr, but whatever. I'm going to a cottage next weekend too! A different one this time, and the food will be less healthy. I'm going to have to really buckle down!

Day 23

Today's Weight: 180.4

Yesterday's Diet:

Breakfast: Two toasts with peanut butter and jam, with a glass of milk.

Lunch: 1 Sandwich with mayo, 1/2 Sandwich with PB+J mustard, lettuce and corn beef, banana, carrots, juice, and some grapes.

Dinner: Bowl of Sarma

Yesterday's Workout: So yesterday I decided to run outside. It was a lot easier than the treadmill, I ran for about 30 minutes straight. For about 5.5km. It was pretty easy to finish it, I'm usually pretty gassed after my 25 minute run on the treadmill, I think it's because it's on an incline. Anyways I was too sore from water skiing to do any strength training so I decided to take it easy and just stretch it out. Today my shins are a bit sore from the run. I'm a little worried about it. I don't want shin splints! D:

Overall a decent day though, I'm excited for this week. I'm going to go down down to the land down under, and no not Australia I'm talking about the 17X's!
 
Day 24

Today's Weight: 179.2

Yesterday's Diet

Breakfast: Cereal with blueberries

Lunch: 1 Sandwich with mustard, mayo, lettuce and turkey breast. 1/2 Sandwich with PB+J, an orange, an apple, some juice and some carrots

Dinner: Rice with grilled chicken and sautéed onions and mushrooms, served with asparagus.

Yesterday's Workout: The mind was willing but the body was not, at least for running. So I started my workout yesterday with upper body exercises. I did a lot of push ups yesterday. Start with 20 normal, then 3 sets of 20 with my legs elevated to focus my upper chest, then 40 to focus my lower chest(I guess it was a decline push up?) and then 20 normal to end it. I'm so much stronger than I was a month ago! I did ab workouts in between sets so they got a good workout too. My arms were pretty drained after, but I did do a few curls and tricep dips. So I started running and my legs were a bit too sore. I ran/walked for 9 minutes before I decided I needed to rest them. I decided to do the m100's before I ended my workout though, which got my cardio going a fair bit, which was good. I was so pumped up to workout out last night but I just couldn't, too bad. Anyways I'm feeling a lot better this morning. I shall do a really good cardio workout tonight! :D

Down to 179 and it's only Tuesday! I am going to the cottage this weekend, so I really need to hone in. I'm going to workout Friday morning, I think. And then go for a run on Saturday at the cottage. Come home on Sunday and get my workout in at night. That way I don't miss any workouts. If I can manage to resist the endless amount of temptation at the cottage, I think I'll be well on my way to getting to my goal of 175 by the end of next week! *Fingers Crossed!*

Day 25

Today's Weight 178.2 Yipee!

Yesterday's Diet:

Breakfast: Cereal with strawberries

Lunch: Leftovers from dinner of the night before: Rice, chicken, sautéed onions and mushrooms. A banana, an orange, some juice, and some carrots.

Dinner: Grilled chicken, with baked sweet potatoes, asparagus and a cucumber salad.

I played cards with my aunt and uncle and had a few nuts during the game, I didn't have too many. I'm happy with the control I displayed.

Yesterday's Workout: Well I didn't have a whole lot of time so I did the 100 workout with some mixed in push ups, and the m100's. They got my cardio going and for a relatively short amount of time it was a good workout.

Going to a BBQ tonight so it will be a test of my resistance to tasty things :p. Hope everyone is having a good week so far. The weekend is close! :D
 
Day 26

Today's Weight: Slept in, no time to check :(

Yesterday's Diet:

Breakfast: Cereal

Lunch: Sandwich with mayo, mustard, lettuce, and turkey breast. With an apple, juice, and some strawberries. I knew I wasn't going to have dinner till about 8 so I packed some extra snack for about 5: 1/2 Sandwich with PB+J, a banana, and some carrots.

Dinner: I went to a cousin's bbq/house warming. I had a 2 sliders, some salad, a few chips with salsa, a few bbq'd potatoes and a piece of cake.

Yesterday's Workout: Didn't get one in because I got home so late from the bbq.

Horrible day yesterday! I ate too much for dinner, shitty stuff too, and didn't get a workout in. I was going to go for a run this morning but I slept in so I didn't get to do that. I bet I probably gained 2 pounds. If I had to guess I'd say I'm at 180 right now. The only thing that might keep me down was the fact that I buzzed all my hair off yesterday. I got a nice summer cut, first time I've ever buzzed it. It actually looks pretty good I think, maybe I'll post picture later. Anyways, going to the cottage straight from work today so the next workout I get might be on Monday night D:. Actually I think I'll make a point to go for a couple long swims while I'm at the cottage.

Sorry I missed you when you dropped by!

Hey you can make up for the bad day with the long swim at the cottage. Just change your food around a little. Drop the mayo, leave the mustard, lol. Have you tried Bearo's Honey mustard on your sandwiches? Pretty good, I get it at Walmarts a round the Deli area. Watching portion size and little food change and exercise, you could lose 10 lbs in no time at all. Sounds like a nice hair cut.

Hi I hope you had an enjoyable weekend! The long swims sounds really nice :) My fiance went through p90x and I think hes almost 6' and I don't think he lost any weight but his definition at the end of the 90 days was completely noticeable. I would take pictures too because those can show you progress even when you don't see any. Keep doing the good work!
 
So I was completely unplugged this weekend, no internet, no cell phone service. It was actually kind of nice, but I couldn't update! So here's my little weekend update!

Day 27, 28, and 29th

Today's Weight: 179.0

Weekend Diet: Well I wasn't great, I had desserts when I was offered. The more I think about the more I'm amazed I'm below 180. Maybe cutting off all my hair made a difference! I didn't have that much to start with, so I don't know. Overall, I attempted to stay healthy. I didn't overeat during meals, I tried to have as much of the vegetables/salad as I could. I tried to avoid snacking on junk food, as well as drinking unhealthy things. I had a few diet ice teas which were actually pretty decent, I don't usually like diet drinks. Anyways, I'm home and still under 180 so I'm happy. Time to get back to the normal lifestyle.

Weekend Workout: Although I didn't specifically isolate some time dedicated to exercising, I got lots of exercise. I was in the water for most of the time I was there. I was playing around with my little cousins and they love when I throw them in the water and such. I went water skiing, tubing, and wake boarding and I challenged myself with swimming at time which hopefully worked my cardio a bit, but clearly I did burn some calories.

So overall I was not the best at resisting temptation this weekend, but I got enough exercise in to counteract it which I'm happy about. I'm actually pretty sore from all of the water sports so I think I worked pretty hard. Anyways, I'm excited to see what I can get down to this week!
 
@Anna: But I like mayo so much :'(. Haha, maybe I'll try it without it for a couple of days. I don't put that much but everything counts I guess. Thanks :)

@tally: I've tried a couple of the p90x workouts and they're tough! I'm sure if I did it I would definitiely lose weight and gain definition. But I don't have the tapes :(, maybe I could try to look them up online. And yeah I should probably take a picture or two. But I don't really have a way to get them on my computer at the moment. We'll see, thanks :)
 
Haha thanks dotty :), I did manage to resist myself. But oh my goodness I was so hungry and so close to getting out of bed and feasting. I was talking with my girlfriend and she has just started eating and it made me unbelievably hungry.

Day 30

Today's Weight: 178.8

Yesterday's Diet:

Breakfast: Cereal with blueberries

Lunch: 1 Sandwich with mayo, mustard, lettuce and turkey breast, 1/2 Sandwich with PB+J some coleslaw, some strawberries, juice, and some carrots.

Dinner: Kind of like a stir fry dish, with rice and a bunch of vegetables. With a couple of hard boiled eggs on the side.

Yesterday's Workout: Went for about a 6km run in <30 minutes, I think it was around 28min. I got a major cramp near the end so I had to walk for about 100m, never had a cramp that painful before. But it was a good run and I'm not that sore today, which is good because I plan to do a good workout tonight.

Anyways, I'm comfortably in the 170's now. I need 3 more pounds to reach my goal. It's crazy that it's been 30 days since I've started this. I'm happy with my progress, my body is getting closer and closer to where I want it to be. Hope everyone is having a good start to their week! :D
 
Good morning everyone!

Day 31

Today's Weight: 177.4

Yesterday's Diet:

Breakfast: 2 eggs, 2 toast(1 with PB+J), 2 pieces of bacon and a glass of milk. Big breakfast!

Lunch: 1 Sandwich with mustard, lettuce and turkey breast (I took your advice Anna and took out the mayo, I hardly noticed that it was gone too!) 1/2 Sandwich with PB+J, a banana, a yogurt, some carrots, and a juice box.

Dinner: A thin steak (I believe it's called 'minute steak'), some asparagus, some sweet potatoes, and some strawberries for dessert.

The big breakfast made less hungry throughtout the day, my carrots are usually my 3 oclock snack but I couldn't even finish them at 4:30 because I wasn't hungry. I was pretty stuffed after dinner.

Yesterday's Workout: I tried a workout I saw online by sixpackshortcuts. This is the one:


It was a pretty good workout I guess, but I work harder running usually. It did give me a pretty good upper body workout. I had to replace some of the exercises because I don't have dumbbells at home.

Well the workout wasn't amazing. It was okay got me panting at times but now I really want to feel exhausted after I workout and it just didn't cut it. To go along with an increase in calories, I'm suprised I actually went down in weight, grateful of course :p. 2 Pounds till my goal!

Okay so today I'm going to try the 100 workout, down, and then up again(what I mean is doing it twice, the second time in reverse order). It'll be interesting to see if I can do it. I know the second set of 70 leg lefts are going to be near impossible but I will try. This is the workout I'm talking about by the way:

Day 32

Today's Weight: 177.2

Yesterday's Diet:

Breakfast: Cinnamon bun, banana, glass of milk

Lunch: Went out for sushi which was pretty good. I had a teriyaki chicken box, and our table shared an order of shrimp tempura. Also had some ice cream after, I'm so bad!

Dinner: Had this casserole which was basically rice, cabbage and ground beef.

Yesterday's Workout: I attempted to do the 100 workout twice but I could not. It's not that I was too physically tired but I just didn't have the mental endurance for it yesterday. Started my workout too late and lack of sleep lowered my motivation to work out. I did it once and then a few workouts from the second set.

Looking back, yesterday was not a great day for my weight loss journey overall. My whole day, eating wise, was relatively unhealthy. My workout was okay but not great. I still went down, I guess I really must have improved my metabolism. Which is good I guess. Anyways, today should be a good day! Have a good one everyone :)
 
Day 33

Today's Weight: 178.0

Yesterday's Diet:

Breakfast: Cereal

Lunch: Bowl of chicken noodle soup, Sandwich with peanut butter and honey, cherries, juice, and an apple.

Dinner: Pork steak, sweet potatoes, broccoli and some coleslaw.

Yesterday's Workout: Did 6km in 28 minutes, really pushed myself in the second half. I did a lat exercise that trusylver showed me, it was tough :p. Happy with this workout. My legs are a little sore today.

I really don't know how I gained weight, my body doesn't make any sense! I ate much healthier than the day before and had a better workout. The only thing that I can think of is the soup gave me too much sodium and as a result I'm carrying a bunch of water weight. Whatever, as long as it comes off soon :p.

Going to the lake this weekend, it has internet so I should be able to update, but no scale so I can't weigh myself. I'm planning on taking tonight off for workouts, maybe go for a swim. I'll go for a run in the morning on Saturday and then I'm home on Sunday and can workout at home on Sunday night.

Day 34, 35, 36 Weekend Update!

Today's Weight 178.4

Weekend Diet;

Well I'm amazing, I kind of binged on Saturday. I didn't eat healthy and did get that much exercise but I'm still at 178.4. I guess my metabolism has really improved. I'm a little ashamed of how I ate but amazed and happy that I didn't really gain that much.

Weekend Workout:

Not much to report... I didn't do that much. I went for a couple of Ski runs on Sunday which was a good workout, but other than that I didn't do much. I'm well rested for this week I guess :p.

I'm really going to try hard to get to my goal of 175 by Friday. I'm going to go for a good workout tonight. Tomorrow I plan on going to this gym and trying out their 7 day Free Trial. If I like it, I'll stay at the gym for the rest of my time here in Winnipeg. Just about 6 weeks left. But I'll probably go to the gym everyday except for maybe on Wednesday because I think I'm going to see the last Harry Potter movie. I'm super excited actually! :D

Day 37

Today's Weight: 175.8 :O :O :O

Yesterday's Diet:

Breakfast: Cereal with bluberries

Lunch: 1 Sandwich with mustard, lettuce and turkey breast, 1/2 Sandwich with PB+J, 1 peach, some cherries, some juice.

I had a snack at around 3 because I didn't save any of my lunch for 3pm like I usually do. Had a wholegrain bluberry muffin and small strawberry and banana smoothie from Tim Hortons. I don't think they were very healthy because I had a major sugar crash at 4.

Dinner: Chicken, mashed potatoes, broccoli, coleslaw.

Yesterday's Workout: Ran about 5.5km in 27 minutes. It was super hard, I'm not sure why. But I felt great after which was good.

Went to sleep super late again last night, damn my girlfriend, she can make me do anything! :p D:
Going to the new gym tonight. Their 7 day free trial is a bit of a bogus because you're only allowed to go in during the 7 day free trial during their staffed hours and I basically work all of their extended hours, so obviously it won't be much of a trial! :p I'll probably just end up paying the membership fee etc.
