Hi Everybody:
I became a member of this community about 5 years ago in early 2007. I became a member because I wanted to encourage many people so they could see me as a good example. This is the post that I made at that time:
http://weight-loss.fitness.com/t/10087/my-own-extreme-makeover
At that time, my weight was 240 pounds and I was able to reduce to? 202 pounds. Ok that's the nice part of the story.
Later, I stopped the sports practice and didn't realize when I started eating the same sh**t again. Well, I gained weight again and was very disappointed that it happened, even worst, I didn't do anything to lose weight at least for 3.5 years. I thought " Ok I tried it once but I failed so, why should I try to do it again? "
The only thing I did was continue practicing soccer but I never lost weight.
Last year in may I woke up one day and decided to go to the gym again, so I would mix gym with soccer. The first thing the trainer did when I arrived there was to put me on the scale, I was in 224 pounds ( 102 Kilos), I signed up with my wife and came back home with a different attitude, I said to myself: I have a weight problem, if I don't take care of this I will keep gaining weight. If I decide to change my food and life habits it can't be temporary, it needs to become a total and permanent new lifestyle.
I started running, riding bike, etc. Now, 8 months later I have lost 44 pounds, I have recovered my weight ( 180 pounds) and the most important thing: I learned a lesson in life:
In order to keep my weight, I had to become a disciplined person otherwise I wouldn't have been able to do it. Please see my new before and after pictures below:
