I am in desperate need of losing at least 30lbs, and I know that it could be done. There's proof on this site. I started Monday eating 1300 calories/daily (SW 200lbs) plus doing Tae-bo (has anyone had positive results with doing Tae-bo). I weighed my self today and the scale read around 191 lbs. Is that just water weight are what? I am so motivated to lose weight, I have a 2 yr old son ( I gained 50lbs, when I was pregnant with him) and I need the energy to keep up w/ him. Is it really possible to loose 9 lbs in so little time. I am excited to see the numbers going down...........:D

You guys have been a inspiration to me.... Also my husband and I have a wager going now. My birthday is 2/13 and I I lose 15 lbs by then he will buy me a purse that I have been wanting. (I am a purse-a-holic:) )

No, its definitley not impossible, just be careful though, when you integrate yourself back into normal eating habits, that you do it very slowly to let your body get used to the new level calories. If when you started your diet, your metabolism was used to taking in, for example 2400 calories per day, and then you suddenly dropped that amount to 1300, your body would still burn 2400, but only for a few days until it adjusted to the 1300. You see, your metabolism is like a furnace, if you put in less then normal it will burn faster and brighter, but if you go from putting a newspaper in the fire, to 2 dozen logs, than the fire will slow down, and die out. The same goes for your metabolism, if you all of a sudden take in more calories than your metabolism can handle, your body will react by storing those extra calories in fat cells. What i would suggest doing is starting at somewhere like 2400 calories per day, and then every week decrease that amount by 200 calories until you reach 1200. All the while make sure that you are burning more calories than you are taking in. To find out your ideal daily calorie intake, multiply your skeletal mass (weight - body fat) by 15. Don't go any lower than 1200...that is very dangerous.
