My Diary; Merry Christmas.

I think this weight loss diary will motive me more. : )

M'kay. This information is just some stuff that I need to remember.
My current weight is 167 pounds and I'm 5 feet 5 inches tall.
My goal is to lose 52 pounds by December 25, 2007.
That gives me exactly five months.
To reach my goal, I need to lose approximately 10 pounds a month.
So by Christmas morning, I'd love to weigh 115 pounds.
I've calculated and I've found that, in order to lose weight, I need to eat 1689 calories daily.

As of right now, I really feel like I'm going to be able to do this.
I'm going to lose the weight and keep it off, no giving in or failing.

Beginning tomorrow, I'll begin recording my meals, calorie intake, how I exercise, how often, and how much.

Hey, Congrats on starting a diary!! You will see it is a great tool to keep you on track and to have a lots of support!!
I am glad you changed you goal from 2 months till Christmas!! It is a lot more realistic!!
Our weight is almost the same right now and our timeline too, although I only want to lose about 20 lbs more.

you also might want to record your starting measurements - sometimes, especially when you are at a lower weight, the scale doesn't move as quickly as you'd like it to and you will see results in measurements before you will on the scale...

Lately, I've been running, walking, bicycling, and doing sit-ups and push-ups.
I've also tried a Pilates video that I really liked. I'll probably try to find another one of those.
And my family has just recently joined a gym. I'm going to try to start going there on a regular basis.

Lunch.
1 slice of white bread (70 calories)
1 glass of milk (150 calories)
1 smoked sausage (250 calories)
Lunch Total Calories: approximately 470 calories.

Dinner.
1 smoked sausage (250 calories)
1 slice of white bread (70 calories)
2 glasses of Cherry Kool-Aid (240 calories)
Dinner Total Calories: approximately 560 calories.

Snack.
1 ham sandwich with two pieces of white bread (200 calories)
1 handful of potato chips. (150 calories)
1 Nutty Bar (310 calories)
Snack Total Calories: approximately 660 calories.

Daily Total Calories: 1690 calories. (1 calorie over my goal)

I know most of the food I've eaten today isn't too healthy. I think if I just ease myself into a healthier diet with fruits and vegetables (etc.), then there will be a higher chance of me not going back to all this unhealthy junk. : )

I'm not sure if it would be considered exercise, but I mowed a lawn today.
Other than that, I haven't exercised much today.. I've done some Pilates exercises and some push-ups and sit-ups.. That's about it. : (

I don't think that's too bad for the first day. : )

Lunch Total Calories: approximately 320 calories.

Snack.
1 apple (80 calories)
Snack Total Calories: approximately 80 calories.

Dinner.
1 Biscuits and Chicken meal (500 calories)
1 banana (105 calories)
3 glasses of water (0 calories)
Dinner Total Calories: approximately 605 calories.

Snack.
1 smoked sausage (250 calories)
1 slice of white bread (70 calories)
1 glass of Cherry Kool-Aid (200 calories)
1 apple (80 calories)
1 glasses of water (0 calories)
Snack Total Calories: approximately 600 calories.

Daily Total Calories: 1605 calories.

No exercise today. : (

I'll weigh tomorrow morning though. See if just the diet is helping any. : )
 
It is now 4:18 PM.
I haven't eaten anything today.
Yesterday, I went about 9 hours without eating.
I feel AMAZING when I'm hungry.
I've been super curious if anybody else feels this way.
But I feel SO confident and GREAT about myself when I'm empty.
The only bad thing is, when I get too hungry, I get sick. :/
Like right now, I have a migraine and I've been on the verge of throwing up for the past two hours.
But on the bright side, I've lost 4 pounds since I started the diet thing, 6 days ago. :]
But for the past few days, I've seriously considered going anorexic.
I know I can't. My family would get suspicious because they're used to me eating all the time.
But with thinking about it and being hungry all the time, for the first time in a long time, I feel like I actually have control.
But yeah, I figure I'll just eat as less as I can and exercise.
I'll lose the fifty pounds a few months early, eh?
 
Have you tried smaller meals throuout the day so you don't have to go so long without eating? I only ask because when I go along time without eating I tend to over eat when I finally do eat.
