My dairy

The idea of waking up at 4:50 makes me break out in hives. I don't know how you do it! :)

I try to get a good nights rest before....and the weight I've loss gives me motivation. I can already see my collar bones, whcih is great. I'm going to post a picture of -20 lbs when I get there

Well, I went to my psychiatrist/doctor today. Told him I lost 14 lbs....he said that was great and the key is to be consistent. I told him how lonely I was, not having many friends, possible increasing the meds. He said to go out to join a club or something...which I need to do.

I have all of you! :)

He said he goes jogging to stay in shape, I asked him how some people can run a mile, I just don't get it. I can run 2 min tops....

Went to jack in the box for dinner. 2 discrepencies. First, I think the serving salad is the whole salad based on the calories, but not sure. Secondly, the grilled chicken is contradicting. It says 177 cal just for the grilled chicken on their website, but when I look at the salad with everything on it (including the chicken) it says only 88. Still the calories (if I'm right) is 581, alot, but it was the best damn salad I ever had. The asian sesame dressing is killer, alot of cal but really helps alot. It had alot of dark greens too, which is good.

A blend of Iceberg, romaine and spring mix with grilled chicken strips, cucumber slices, carrots, red onions, Mandarin oranges and served with Asian Sesame dressing, wonton strips and roasted almonds

That's what comes on it. I didn't use all the dressing, trying to cut down on calories, but used most of it.

Final:
Breakfast:
Peanut butter and jelly sandwich
(1/2 serving of peanut butter, 100, 2 servings of jelly, 80, 2 slices of whole wheat bread, 240)
1 serving of watermelon (80)
Total: 500

Lunch:
Salad with 10 cal spray (35 + 10)
Carrots (30)
Sloppy joe, white bread 93% lean meat (450)
1 serving of water melon (65)
Total: 590

V 8 fusion Juice (1 serving of veg and 1 serving of fruit)
110

Jack in the box salad with everything (including grilled chicken)
581

Large diet coke (0)
1 fresca can (0)

1781 Total.

As a side not, I'm not too sure if my sloppy joe thing is accurate. I didn't feel like going back and looking at kara's notes ( I know, lazy today, but I just don't feel like it today, feeling really lazy today, sigh)...but I feel I was being liberal with the calories.

Hi Spark!! About the running thing, What I've noticed is on week 2 and 3 of c25k if you do it for 30 minutes instead of the 20 they recommend (including your walk) You get to about 1.80 miles on week 2 and week 3 you have no problem getting to 2 miles. I use a treadmill so I always try to get to 2 miles on it! Makes you feel accomplished :) So if you're doing c25k you're probably doing at least a mile! Who cares if you're walking some? :p No one needs to know! hehe!

Keep at it :) Its good you can see your collarbones!! :D

Woke up at 10 am, didn't eat breakfast. Not good, not my usual MO.

Had lunch at jack in the box:
Whole grain fajita pita no salsa, (320)
1 cup fruit (50)
Total: 370

2 large diet cokes (0)

Dinner:
2 steak kobobs, was really lean steak with teriyaki sauce.
had 1 piece of chicken teriyaki kabob, and white rice
Sauce I'm guessing (250 cal)
No idea, but here's a rough value on the meal plus the white rice
935

Bud light ice beer
around 110

1 piece of water melon: 60

Don't get discouraged about the running. Really and truly when I started the C25k thing, I thought I was in good shape, and I still had a hard time with it.

Running is a whole different ball game, I've found. Just keep doing it consistently - a little bit more every time - even if it's just 10 seconds here and 10 seconds there. You will eventually get to where you want to be. Just remember it's not a race - there's no one you have to impress or prove anything to. It's all about YOU ... so keep working at it at whatever pace works for you.

Went to bed last night around 9:30...figured I'd feel like getting up at 4:51 to go running. Wrong! Although I wasn't too tired, I didn't get up. I ended up waking up around 11 am. I wasn't tired at all, but didnt' feel like running, but forced myself to anyway. Note to self, do not go running when it is 105 out. Yes, at 11 am, it was 105 degrees F outside. It was hot...that's why I wake up so early. But I did it, it was harder coupled with the fact of the high heat. I brought a water bottle with me to drink, as always. I pushed myself harder a couple times, going an extra 10 seconds each time (although sometimes in the runs I didn't)

Did the 30 mintues, still on week 1. There's no way I can tackle week 2 yet, but hopefully we'll see. Scale said 226, that's 14 lbs so far.

Oh, here's something interesting. I take zyprexa, its a mood disorder/elevator. It makes you gain weight, significant weight. But I still managed to lose 14 lbs, my doctor said that was impressive ,since the medicine makes you gain weight :p

Pepperoni, turkey 17 slices (70)

Will do better tomorrow.

Today went well, did 30-40 minutes of cardio on the bicycle, went to walmart again. Tomorrow is pay day, so I can finally buy the GoW: CoO game for the PSP, woohoo.

Did 30 minutes of strength training on the wii too

2 stalks of celery (40)
2 serving of water melon (162)
3 pieces of sushi (140)

Total : 548

1 regular coke, 16 oz:
200

Rest left overs of quesadilla:
500

Had a regular 16 oz coke (almost all of it) at subway, after eating thsi way it seems way too sweet, but the diet coke they have there is rancid or something, it tastes terrible (It's the syrup, the regular coke tastes fine) and I think it has bugs in it or something, it had some strange particles of something (!!) in it and it tastes really nasty.

Dinner:
Salmon with sauce teriyaki (180)
Side salad with 10 spray (65)
Total: 1609
Final

Not only that, I told the guy who works there about it, and he said he 'doesn't drink soda', when I told him to taste it to see how bad it tastes. Freakin' nasty, he wouldn't do anything about it.

It's been this way for at least over a week.

To kara: I tried to do my research on this one, but the subway menu does not have the calorie in take on their regular sodas. I think the drink I had was 16 oz (one step up from their small), and I've seen various results on the web, one site said 150, one said 200 for it, and another (subways site) didn't even mention it. Makes you wonder, for a company that tries to be so healthy, they don't bother to list one of the most high sugar items (soda) probably the most unhealthy item, and I probably had 65 grams (!!) of sugar when I drank it. But it was still better than the diet coke!:ack2:

ick, nasty fountain soda is the worst. They probably need to clean their syrup tubing too. Grody. I stopped drinking soda from a fountain or a bar gun when I was a bartender and realized how gross they are.
Sushi for breakfast is hardcore.

The Subway near me has fruit flies and other bugs flying around the fountain machine.. it's REALLY gross.. I haven't gone there in awhile... and I complained to the manager months ago- my husband went there last week & said the bugs are still there. I just don't get how people can drink from that seeing bugs all around, both dead and alive. Ick.

I didn't think I could do it, but I did, I got through it! Yay...it was tough, especially in the heat. Did I mention my calves ache like hell? Yeah, alot of pain. Survivorman and Behr Grylls consume bugs every chance they get and they show up the following week...The calorie count for fruit flies is I believe 50 but there are "PACKED WITH PROTEINS!".

Great job on the first day of week 2! And on the loss!

Thank you, it was tough but I am surprised I was able to do it at all.

Today I weighed in myself was 225...other scale said 227, so around there.
I don't understand why sometimes both scales agree exactly, while on other times they are +/- 2 lbs. I still use the wii scale because I set a deadline to lose 15 lbs, I have 1.2 more lbs to use according to the wii.

But so far, if I weighed 241 when I started, I've lost 16 lbs so far.

I wore my size 44 short pants today, when i was a 48 I didn't think they fit (not too sure though). 44 is a great size because that's the biggest size you can still find in clothing stores, anything higher they don't have.

Some bad news...I rode to walmart, the bike shop. Bought a water bottle holder for my bike, was thinking about adding the anti spike stuff for the tires but it was expensive at 50 bucks for both tires.

I played god of war on my PSP at walmart, looked around, had a chicken teriyaki 6'' sub with cucumbers, spinach, lettuce, and olives as well as chicken that was heated and a teriyaki glaze. I also had their diet coke again, it seemed better this time but I did notice something in the drink...not too sure what it was. I talked to the other store person this time, she said she also noticed the coke's seem to taste 'salty' but there was nothing she could do.

When Igot home, everything seemed fine. Then I decided to go out to the mail box and check the mail, I rode my bike there. About halfway thru, I noticed my bike's back tire had gone flat (!!), so it's completely flat now, I have to buy another or have it repaired somehow. Oh well, I guess I can still do the running and stationary bike.

I did about 25 minutes on the bike, 30 minutes of strength training. I then had a post work out shake, celery, an apple and some soybeans in pods.

Breakfast:
Diet coke (0)
Chicken teriyaki subway sub with spinach, lettuce, olives, cucumbers chicken with a teriyaki sauce. 6'' sub, 9 grain whole wheat bread.
Total: 490

Lunch:
Post work out shake (116)
Celery (40)
Apple (63)
Soybeans (100)
Total: 319

Dinner:
KFC's orgininal recipe strips (2) on a white wheat bun with lettuce and some sauce
(I went to KFC's site and could only find the nutrition information on the strips, which is 200, no idea on the whole sandwich. I'll say 450)
Pretzels (110)
Pepperoni, turkey (70)
Green beans (20)
Total: 670

Total: 1479

Snack:
Beef jerky, mesquite smoked, oh boy oberto (80, was surprised how good it was, real smoky, not too hard to chew either)
Nature valley granola bar, 2 bars (1 serving ) 180
Total: 1739

We went to the store too and bought alot of food...as always will keep you updated. I need to get my bike fixed :(
