This me at my current weight of 262lbs,I'm 6'1'' and I am 22 years old:




Here is me at 230lbs...age 18:



I have just RE-joined my gym and I am currently trying to start a new diet so any help/advise would be greatly appreciated...

good luck brother!! im built jus like you except im only 6'0 ...but currently at 260 lbs so yea im trying to lose mine too .....its kinda hard to get motivated but i keep thinking to myself i dont wanna be fat no more and that motivates me pretty good lol

Like wesleycasey, I am also 6'1" and about 260#. We should create a support group for early- to mid-20s guys in our situation. :)

What are your goals? I am wondering how others compare against mine. I have not been even close to my proper weight since I was a little kid (if even then) and my goals might be a bit optimistic. They are in my sig.

Joining the gym is a good first step. You used to play sports, consider joining a basketball league or something other than the gym for fun! You can do it!

Well I have went to the gym 3 days in a row now doing some weight training and cardio...
My goals are loose the "Manboobs" and my fat gut...lol
I started eating right 3 days ago...Lots of water,fish,gatorade,nutri-grain bars,and most of all NO SODA!!! lol I guess we'll see how it all turns out...:biggrinjester:
 
Hi ! try to drop the gatorade too. It's also kind of a soda. I mean that it keeps you stuck on sugary drinks.

Welcome to your new, healthy life! You've certainly come to the right place for support, encouragement, and advice on WL. You are so young; your metabolism is just itching to help you unload those unhealthy extra pounds!

:iagree: that you should find an exercise you really like (I just read about a guy on the forum who lost his weight by boxing with a bag!) and also that you would do well to truly *limit* the Gatorade. Water is absolutely the best drink for helping shed weight! GREAT JOB ON DITCHING THE SODA!!!

Thanx I've been eating a lot of Oatmeal and drinking a lot of water....And I've been going to the gym at least 4 times a week...:)
