My Current Progress 305lbs to 222lbs

I began changing my lifestyle on February 6th, 2008. At my heaviest, I'm guessing I was about 305lbs. Needless to say, I avoided scales like the plague at that time.

Here is a picture that was taken of me on Halloween of 2007 that shows just how bad it was. (over 300lbs)

Here's a picture of me April 24, 2008, eleven weeks after I began. (260lbs)

This picture is one month later on May 27, 2008. Unfortunately, it's just another face shot and you can't really see a difference. I really should be taking body shots for comparison... meh. (244lbs)

The next three pics were taken during the last week of June 2008 when my partner's family came to visit. (233lbs)

It's August, why not? (222lbs)

Thanks everyone. I really appreciate the kind words.

It has been mostly diet. I consume 1600-1800 cals per day and I've been very diligent. There has only been 2 times that I've gone over that and from my fitday calculations, I don't believe I went over 2500 cals on those days.

As far as exercise goes, I haven't been doing regular exercise. I imagine the time will come where I need to, and now that I've lost this much weight, I've been getting a bit of an itch to be active. My entire life has been filled with inactivity though, so it's hard to get started doing things I've never done before. I'm really enjoying all the extra energy I have lately.

My job is fairly physical though, it involves a LOT of walking, heavy lifting and lots of climbing stairs and ladders. If I were at a desk job where I didn't get any activity through the day, I'd imagine working out would be even more necessary.

Regardless, I plan on focusing on getting my weight down to where it should be, then looking at becoming more athletic.

Coffeebro, I'm 6' even. My first goal was to see if I could get down to 265lbs. Now, I want to see if I can get down to the "Normal" BMI range, which would put me at 185. I suppose I have an intermediate goal of 220, which would get me out of the "Obese" range and into "Overweight".

Thats a smart goal. Take it in chunks so you dont get discouraged. You will be 185 soon. Keep it up.

Congrats. :biggrinjester:

You're pretty damn cute. ;)

Which I'm sure you were before losing weight, of course. That wasn't supposed to sound like a backhanded compliment or anything.

Wow man... what a difference, keep up the good work! I'm right there along with ya... started at 306, now at 275. Its NOT easy, lol.

It's not easy, but stay determined. The end result will be worth the effort, of that I'm certain.

Your killing it dude. Keep that shit up.

June updates!

My partner's family came down for a visit, so lots of pictures were taken this month. I was at 233 last Monday; however, I haven't been keeping a very close eye on my calories this week. I don't expect to have lost any weight. We'll see tomorrow morning when I weigh myself.

I had my weekly weigh-in this morning and surprisingly, I was down 0.2lbs from last Monday. That amount of weight is negligible, but what's making me happy is that I didn't gain any weight this past week even with my indiscretions. I ate a lobster bake (lobster, salmon, haddock, shrimp and scallops baked with bread, all kinds of cheese and a cream sauce), I had seafood chowder and a triple decker lobster sandwich. Not the healthiest stuff in the world, but with all the added hiking and stuff, my weight managed to stay even. I thought for sure I'd have taken a few steps back. Either way, I'm excited to get back on track and continue to lose the extra weight.

wow!

Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Thanks for updating and keeping us all inspired to keep going!
