My Birthday Present

Hello to everyone here again! I actually had a journal here several months ago and I just stopped writing for some reason. Well I've decided to come back and make a new start! This time I am back for good!

I am turning 29 at the end of February and what I want most in the world right now is to lose this extra 15 or so pounds that I've accumulated over the past couple of years. I don't want to dwell on the bad stuff but I've had another stroke of bad luck (being out of work again) so besides finding another job I am going to make it my job to get back in excellent shape. I've also recently ended a relationship so I really want to look my best when I want to return to dating.

I do work out already anywhere from 3-6 days per week and I eat a relatively healthy vegan diet. It is going to come down to counting calories (to some degree) and increasing the intensity and length of my workouts. I simply need to make a bunch of small changes and I know that I will succeed.

My starting weight is 153.5 pounds and my goal weight is 135 pounds. I will be 140 pounds by Feb. 18

some time has passed and I feel like I've improved some habits and kept some the same. For example, I've increased the intensity and length of my workouts and I'm at the gym more frequently, but I'm still eating too much. I just get so hungry after all of the exercise and I lose my willpower.

I also decided to not worry about my weight anymore. I've found that strength training seems to work best for me because I don't get as hungry and don't want to gorge after training. My goal now is to lose size. I am currently a size 8 in pants and my goal is to be a size 4.

I need to think up a new strategy here for eating less.

I've managed to diet and get down to 138 pounds. Now my goal is to keep it off. How? I'm going to sign up for some new kind of physical activity as my birthday present. I was thinking martial arts or yoga. I will keep checking back here and updating my progress.

My weight goal is 135 pounds. I'm currently close to my other goal of a size 4.

Hopefully things have gotten better now. But a big congrats on the weight loss, that's awesome! Martial arts is one of my personal favorites. I've done many classes for years, always challenging and fun, great cardio and conditioning. Keep up the awesome work, you're ahead of schedule, so just keep pushing!

How were you able to diet starting in February when teh post was posted at a weight of 153.3 and still in that same month go to 135 Ilbs? It seems drastic to me and I realize that your diet may be a slight exageration for what starvation diet you are currently using. The reason I am incinuating is I went to a university with a young gal who was shrinking in size because of her lack of eating. It was horrible to see her twice a week for the next four months as the instructor was shocked by her "dieting" regimen. She was normally a thin, petite woman with no stored body fat to keep her healthy. But after 8 months of her failing to eat and diet correctly she became a frail looking 80 year old woman. It was sad to see her but most of all her attitude toawards other woman was unpleasant because of the way she saw herself. I hope you are not binge dieting as it does not work and you end up doing non-reversible damage to your heart, kidneys, and liver.
