Okay, so this is me. *waves* For years I was 140lbs. and then I had my son. Weight ballooned up to 175lbs. Never really exercised, or watched food intake (and hoo boy, do I love food). Then I had a difficult pregnancy with my daughter and afterwards, I weighed 211lbs. Sop hubby and I bonded together to become more healthy. Short story version: Got down to a muscular 173lbs., then made the mistake of visiting family out of state for Thanksgiving. The pounds came back...and they brought friends. *insert shriek of terror here*
I hit 245lbs. (at 5'4"
) and said, "No more!" Hubby and I began exercising 5 days a week, counting calories (I cut mine from 3800 a day to 1600 a day), and in the first week, I lost three pounds! Today was my second week weigh in. No pounds lost (but I did flounce on my water intake this week--won't do that again!), but I measured my waist and see that in two weeks, my waist has dropped 3 1/2 inches!
I'm here because if someone else reads about my journey, maybe it'll make it easier to keep going.
