My before and current 445/229

WOW!! Damn, man that is fantastic. I'd love to PM you some questions I have (i.e. loose skin, etc) if you don't mind. How long did it take?

Todd

it feels good. Cause i've always been a outspoken outgoing kind of guy in entire life and the weight was hindering my enjoyment outta life. Now that its outta the way I can go back to me being just me.

Its been 9 1/2 months for whoever asked about time. But, I train 6 days a week most times to the point of almost throwing up. In the begining it was hard being asthmatic and over 400lbs and trying to walk 3 miles 6 times a week. lol. I did it though. No pain no gain.

Now the 10 mile stints are fine. I try and burn about 2200ish cals a workout. My body's metabolism is such now I burn around 7,000cals a day. Hence why im always increaing my eating. I hope 3000+cals a day will be enough to maintain my goal weight. If it aint I guess i'll have to kick it up a notch.

im only a new aussie to this forum

but you amazing, i can't believe the difference. looks like two different people.

i can't believe how many calories you burn a day that is amazing
how many hours of exercise is that a day

YOU LOOK GREAT

This took 9 months. Yes I have some loose skin around my belly. Its not as bad as I thought it would be. I attribute that to my young age and my working out so much.

but, none the less I will have to have plastics to get the body I want. feel free to pm me whatever you would like. But, this is a open forum im completely comfortable talking about whatever in this thread.

Jaw Dropping

Hey!
I just wanted to say congratulations. I recently started to try and lose weight. I was about 5'9 130lbs about 2 years ago, but with a bit of depression and having my fiance recover from 3 difficult ACL surgeries, I gained about 60 lbs! I just finnished a week of the cabbage soup diet, and walk/run 4 miles a day. The most challenging part of losing weight is being patient for me. I like results RIGHT NOW. hehe but I know it's not likely to happen. I was wondering if you did your weight loss all natural (less calories more exercise) I started to look on here at before and after pictures and WOW. talk about your inspiration!! I don't personally know you, but I'm VERY proud of you! To have that determination and drive is so great! Take care, much luv!

Congrats on all that weight you have dropped! My sis N law had it done in 2005 and she went from 255 to 141 she's 5"7 besides the saggy skin she looks great and has lost all the fat.I am glad everything went well with the surgery, you look like a much happier person! Tammy

Thanks yeah there really is no unnatural way to do it. For me its not brain surgery. Take in less calories than you burn each day. wa la. The surgery just gave me a couple months in the begining where I was forced to controll my portions thats it. Hell 60days post op I could eat pizza, hamburgers, hell anything really.

I think people rely way too much on the surgery to do the work for them. They don't spend the time they should developing new eating and exercise habits and when the surgery cushion go's away they start to gain weight again. Its a common occurance. I mean if they had the willpower in the begining with food they wouldn't need the surgery.

Luckily not all of them are low on willpower. Some do it the right way and do what it takes to get it done. Me personally im very impatient. I knew I wanted the weight gone and I wanted it gone yesterday. So if that ment training for 3hrs a day 6 days a week then so be it.

thanks again

Thats great. Glad to hear she is doing well. I will have corrective skin surgery prolly sometime this summer. I need to atleast weight until im 12months post op I think. It will be soon though

What was your rate of loss then ? On average per week ? I'm pretty scared of loose skin since I'm 17 *sigh*
350kcal, how do you work that ? At the moment I must take in about 1800kcal, which sounds low but it does fill me from meal to meal!

I know because I test my resting heart rate through my polar monitor unit. Among other things like blood work and full body analysis which I have done all the time.

Loose skin will be a issue period if you are loosing more than 150lbs. I'm sorry there is just no way around it. If you are only trying to loose 100....you will most likely be just fine regardless of age...but, especially since you are still so young.

My rate of loss was about 4.5-5lbs a week. Its at that rate even now. I may go a two weeks where I only loose 5-6lbs but, the next weeks drop will make up for it. Its always averaged out to about 5lbs a week for 9 1/2 months straight.

Once again on the skin. If you are loosing more than 150lbs sorry bro....its just gonna be part of it. If I was only 300lbs and went to 200 I would have been fine. Hell my skin isint nearly as bad as the surgeon's thought it would. I attribute that to all my serious workouts and the fact that im still very young. At my age my skin still has its elasticity.

Wow. Just came across your photo fromT2Trucker's diary and I'm so glad I did. Poignant photo of you in hospital bed. You look just great. Good going.
