Hi guys, I have decided to start my weight loss journey again for the umpteenth time. I’m 25 and 5ft 4 and at my heaviest I weighed 175lbs (at age 17), at 18 I decided I was sick of being fat and went on an extreme diet eating the bare minimal possible, it was totally unhealthy, but I managed to get down 130lbs in the course of about 3month. I was only able to keep up what was basically a starvation diet for so long and over the course of about 6 months I went back to about 150. Then when I was 20 I planned to go on holiday and did the same starvation diet again and got down to 125lb, after the holiday I yet again gained back most of the weight. I have done this so many time over and over again with my lowest weight being about 120lb. At the moment I’m back up to 158lbs and I’m sick of yo-yoing but I keep repeating the same mistakes over and over again. I just get so desperate to lose the weight quickly that I diet in a totally unattainable manner, which leads to me constantly yo-yo.
This is going to change today; I have to commit to making a lifestyle change for me to be able to stop the cycle. So I’m going to write down what I eat and how much I exercise every day and try to monitor and maintain a realistic change that I will be able to continue with even after I reach my goal weight.
Yesterday I ate
Breakfast: oats with skimmed milk and a banana (I would usually never eat breakfast)
Snack: apple
Lunch: chicken salad sandwich and some pineapple
Dinner: baked potato with tuna and stir-fry
Drinks: mostly water but I do have 3 coffees a day
