MY 60+ lbs weight lost: 266 lbs to 205 lbs

Thanks everyone, I just want to say if you believe you can do it, it will happen I said that to myself back in feb.

I'm actually close to what you were before you lost weight (i'm roughly 258 give or take a few and i'm 5'8) do you have any skin tag issues at all after losing all that weight?

I have no skin issue at all, except chaffing under my arms during long running sessions which really burns. I really believe weightlifting have an effect on how my skin turned out.

That's brilliant mate :) great work !

Thanks loz! Your weight loss was really inspirational definetely will help other people struggling with their weight loss to look good =)

wow!!! u look great

Thank you ^^

wowww..i envy you man

truly inspirational..congrats :)

=p thanks sabahan, I am still considering myself "work in progress" it feels like whenever I achieve a goal I feel like I there another one to be conquered. It is gonna hit a wall sooner or later, but I am going to keep it going.

I am still doing working out and eating healthy, there no "cheat day" for me. Here is a full body pic since I tend to take pics half of my body. I feel like my lower body is more "toned" than my upper

Greetings,

Congratulations Ranjan. It is really+really inspiring.

I am currently in a similar situation and have already started my weight loss journey. Posts by members like you in this forum are all that keeps me on the track.

Would love to know more about the exercises (weight & cardio) you did & the frequency (how many times - what days) to make your weight loss a SUCCESS.

Meanwhile the full body pic looks great man.

Best Regards,
Abhijit

Yeah, the inspiration or the example is for the others who want to really put down some weight. Damn good...Awesome..

Well done you look great man!

Thanks Cameraman Dan ^^

Reaching "onederland" was one of my proudest moments. You should feel the same.

I feel you there Carthonn when I hit that mark I was on the weight scale making sure it did not go back to the 200's it was going back and forth from 196-200 that week, but it stabled at 199 after dinner on that day I hit it. Im at a stable 195 lbs right now. Weight Loss is losing slowly, but my body fat% is droping so that cannot lie since I am starting to ran out of fat lol. My abs are beginnning to show and thats a motivation booster for me I just have to keep digging for that treasure(abs) to show lol.

Greetings,

Thanks Abhijit, best advice I can give you is having consistency and patience. Accepting it will take some time and doing it at your pace that suits your life. I approach this weight loss as not a "quick fix" but a permanent life style change. I think my weight loss diary that I made on this forum has more in depth detail week by week since I was posting my week to week progress.
Currently I run 3-4x weekly basis (run in the morning 4 miles, afternoon 6 miles) 1 long run a week 10 miles and lift weights 3x a week. Upperbody 1x a week and Lower Body 2x a week. I do a light weights with 4 times 14 reps. As this is my routine it may be viewed as a wrong routine or something out of the norm since there are so many articles out there that is basically telling you "to do this because science tells you or this works for me" There so many out there and overall you just have to go with what you think is best for you and keeping in mind that giving your body rest is the most important.

here is a link of my week to week progress in this year: http://weight-loss.fitness.com/weight-loss-diary/40159-ranjans-progress-tracker.html

Passing of the torch from one another ^^

thanks ^^

I am still not done ofcourse usually a thread goes Person reaches his goal -> person loses his goal and you never hear from them again. Not this one!

Happy New Year with a new year comes new goals. My goal this year is to get those abs to show =) and to compete on my first marathon which I believe I have the endurance not the high pace to finish in a good time. Lots of things to do busy busy. Yet I am being asked why are you still single hehe. Guess my active lifestyle keeps it that way which is off balance leaning towards health and fitness.

Here a pic:
Gotta burn burn burn the fat. I. Thats how fat is you can't spot it, the fat will disapear in different parts of your body. *crosses finger for abs* haha

Hi guys =) usually people post and you never hear from them again. I just want to update since its been over 7 months since I posted. I did not fall off the wagon it became a lifestyle for me.

So far this year I was able to do my first 1/2 marathon then full marathon
So far I have completed

3 1/2 Marathons 13.1 miles
2 Marathons 26.2 miles

I got a 50k Ultra Run coming up then half ironman, a 50 mile ultra ran then full Ironman to wrap it up in the end of this year. Ironman is a 2.4 mile swim then a 112 mile bike then a 26.2 mile run all under 17 hours or less.

Mindset is very powerful, if you can believe it with all your heart nothing is going to stop you from reaching your goals.
