M's Epic Journey

what is tilapia?!?! @_@ im sooo curious now lol

haha-- it's fish! :) im trying to stay away from red meat so fish, chicken, and turkey have been my good friends lately. I LOVEE FISH! I was trying to test out other fish besides salmon bc salmon can get a little pricey when you're eating it all the time. Whenever i eat tilapia, i eat about a 4oz fillet with a side of veggies nad it's enough to make me pretty full. VERY LOW ON CALORIES TOO!! like, i think if you eat a 4oz tilapia w/ a side of broccoli, itll be about 150 calories. m,aybe a little less/more. LOW LOW LOW right? :)

....HAHAHA....omg...here I am reading this 4oz. of Tilapia .(a deck of cards right?)...as I am SCARFING DOWN :drool5: like 12 oz. of chicken....LOL....(wasn't supposed to be that way....I just kept EATEN and EATEN....and that's it)...

....:(....booo ,...I need less chicken....I love TILAPIA!!!

Thanks AngelicaHope, you seem so sweet, and yay for another horseback rider! It's definitely an amazing sport. I actually have an phone interview on friday to go to PA and teach lessons this summer at a girls summer boarding school camp. Wish me luck!

Talapia is definitely my favorite protein source to eat! It's amazing, and isn't as 'fishie tasting' as a lot of the other fishes.

Thanks for all the love guys! <3 It means a lot to me to have the support!

We got a really bad blizzard today. I didn't want to go to the gym but it was 5 min down the road so I braved the icy roads. I fishtailed a lot but it was great to get the work out in. I feel like crap if I don't do my daily now. I was supposed to go to karate but it's a 20 minute drive and I would have died. I could barely make it across the street to get to class. I even got stuck in the snow in the parking lot. Luckily a nice guy came and pushed my car out! lol.

Weight:240

Notes: I WANT MEDICINE BALLS! The work outs really appeal to me, and I think I'm going to save up for some! looks like a good time so I think I'll start with that. If anyone else has med. ball work out ideas feel free to share!

Hmm... I've upped my cardio like mad and the weight isn't just falling off. Disappointing but I guess I just have to stay strong and be more strict with my diet. Plus drink more water. I always neglect that. I think I'm a little dehydrated lately.

Emotionally I've been having a hard time lately, but the workouts definitely make me feel better. I drag my heels going when I'm upset but I'm always happy I went in the long run. I need to go get my hair done this weekend, go out with friends and party, just de-stress a bit I think. Hopefully that will re-motivate me.

WOW, you really give me hope! Is it hard to count the calories? I think it sounds like more of a headache than anything, then again I guess you are always aware of what you are eating.

You are doing amazing with your workouts! Even braving a blizzard? Now that is dedication!!

Good luck on your phone interview! Sounds like that would be a really fun and rewarding job to have!

I know If I stick to something I aways feel better afterwards too. sounds like you deserve to reward your self! getting your hair done will probably put a little bounce in your step too :D

wooohoo! i found tilapia at the grocers yesterday :3
medicine balls are definitely fun but i havent fooled around with them since middle school =P

Hookay so this weekend was crap. I tried to get my mom to work out with me, but she kept coming up with stuff for us to do, that 'needed' to be done... and yea, I missed TWO DAYS of working out. I feel like such crap about that.

I'm just going to skip telling about my diet for now. I'll let you all know about it tomorrow because I really don't want to go through fitday and look it up for the last few days. Basically I stuck to it until superbowl, where I had some pizza. Stupid, stupid superbowl and low will power! Grr...

Basically today I worked a few weight machines, did some leg raises, 30 mins on the elliptical, 45 mins horseback riding, a bit of time in the pool. It was great to get back to working out after missing friday and saturday! Oh, and great news! I'm now 237.5 lbs. It might have been because I weighed myself later in the day due to it being the weekend and I slept in... but yea! I'm happy to see some results finally.

Thanks for all the support guys. I feel like I've really failed myself this weekend, but I hope to step it up this week and be good.

On another good note, I aced the phone interview!! She just has to work the numbers and such and get back to me about all the details, but I'm definitely in! Soo... PA here I come! I start the beginning of June :)

Soooo.... I'm back!

Hey guys. Basically I just stopped coming on the forum! What's wrong with me? I need to get motivated and back into my work out routine so I'm going to come back and this time hopefully stick to it!

Here's my current work out schedule:
Monday: 8am-9am walk/jog outside
Tuesday: 11:15-1:05 Taekwondo
Wednesday: 8am-9am walk/jog outside
Thursday: 11:15-1:05 Taekwondo
Friday: 8am-9am walk/jog outside

I need to add more gym time & a weight lifting circuit, which I hope to do in the next few days. Also, starting in January I will be taking a fitness class so my cardio will increase quite a bit.

My current eating habits are crap. I just don't eat and when I do I don't eat well. Today I had... a fiber one pop-tart package (breakfast), two strips of chicken & a muffin (lunch), a few pieces of crackers & cheese and like 7 small meat balls with parm cheese (dinner). I need to get myself in gear as far as my diet! One good thing is that I've cut down on my soda. Now I have it as a rare treat and drink water like it's my job. That's helped a lot.

Current Weight: 237 (last I checked, I'll weigh in again tomorrow!)
But yup, that's the latest! Not all that great, but I'm back here... and that's the first step! Right? =)

I'm also going to take picture this week so I can track my progress. Here's the last progress shots I took in January:

Good Job for getting back in here!!...Sometimes...we get unmotivated when we set our goals too high. Smaller more attainable goals are better....I've been thinking about changing my ticker to 5 lbs goal and that's all. Makes it much easier when you get there...you get to CELEBRATE...not just keep on trucking along for years it seems without being able to congratulate yourself. :D!

....Smaller goals might help...:iagree:!!
