Mountain biking

Hey Guys/Gals

Just wondering who here is into mountain biking ...I do a ton of DH,freeriding and park riding and now I'm trying to get more into XC and trail riding

so what do you ride?
where do you ride?

Meeeeee!

Mountain biking is 110% FTW, for it requires both a high degree of skill and stamina.

And it's outrageously fun 8)

I like to ride somewhere out of town, on nature reserves, etc.
I ride my awesome $800 bike :D

Where I live we can’t really call it mountain biking being Central Florida, maybe just off-rode would do.

The off-road trail that I had been going to(will start back around the end of Sept.) is called Santos and is maintained by . I mainly stick the yellow and blue trails, the reds are a little much for me, maybe one day.

I also ride one of the rails-to-trails near my house (30 mile round trip if I do the whole trail) I have a second set wheels and street tires for this. This is the trail I get some riding time in on Sat. and/or Sun. mornings

I have an older Trek hard tail (model 920 I think) and this year I bought a Gary Fisher Hi-Fi (base model).

I bought it earlier this year, and I've done some 356kms on it. I don't think that's too bad considering I haven't ridden it once during winter.

where is it at? it's starting to get tougher to ride local down here because they won't stop building. there's some pretty decent spots though, you're right. on a side note, whenever i run into a road biker, they always seem to be kind of ass holish..but when i run into a mountain biker on the trails, they are always the nicest dudes ever. maybe it's just me though lol.

..Yeah I really don't like roadies..it happens all the time, they almost think they are better them MTB'ers..all the time I'll be going going down the highway, my bike in the bed of my truck, and I'll look over and see some little sports cars with a few road bikes on top..I'll look at the driver and give him/her the polite head nood and the look of unspoken words that say hey pal, I ride 2 wheels too...and time after time they look at me, my bike, and then make this sour ass face and they stuff the gas pedal..tools

thanks for the reply. i'm gonna have to check that out somtime. There has been plenty of times when i have been riding and passed a mountain biker and he turns back around and asks if he can ride with me. never have i caught up to a road biker and goten the same invetation.
