Motivation and moving forward!

Yeah agreed. Just weight in hovering around the 15:11 mark, so defo halted progress this week. Will try going another month, quite like the challenge of how long I can go, stupid I know
Scrap that, scales was playing up think where the battery came out, either way weight in a few times, come in at 15 stone 8 pounds and change! So moving in right direction. Gonna hit it hard this week, want to see 15:5 on those scales next Monday.

Had a bad day which contained a whole pizza to myself, think I needed a day of indulgence but that was a bit much for anyone. Back on track now, going to try and go 2 weeks of hard solid graft, no beer, no junk, more gym, just clean living
 
Indulging occasionally is one thing, doing things you feel rough about afterwards is another. Of course if it only happens once a month there´s no real problem but if it should become a more regular thing you may want to think about building more contained, pleasurable things into your regular days.
 
I'm joining you in the no drinking starting 1st of March. I'm aiming at a month & will take it from there. I think I am lucky not actually liking junk food. We have an occasional pizza, but it is only smallish & we share it & have it with a big salad. I don't consider it junk as it is good quality food on a pizza base. I enjoy most of my food, even when I am strictly counting calories. Food is meant to be delicious I think. A little bit of something you love is a good thing. A lot isn't. Good for you getting straight back on the bus/bike :)
 
Been a slow week floating around the 15:5 mark, but been hitting weights of late and admittedly been a bit lot looser with diet, but still healthy on the whole. Will carry on as I am and re-weigh myself in two weeks
 
Healthy on the whole is excellent, a lot looser with diet would explain why you're floating around the same weight.
 
clothes are still getting looser as well, so defo going right direction, which is a positive step. I think I’m gonna get to under 15 stone (next milestone) and abandon the scales for a month. I think I’ve picked up a solid approach to eating healthy, and tracking my weight daily is neither motivating me or supporting me to drive forward. But let’s watch this space, need to hit 15 stone first.
 
Harissa seasoning is a game changer for me, really added some flavour to some salmon fillet I cooked earlier on. Gonna go a massive google exploration to start making some more exciting fresh dishes.

So been really lazy of late with posting!

Diet wise we kind of have chilled out a bit more, live healthy maybe 4 days a week, and probably give myself 2 or 3 days a week where I have a drink and eat what I want within reason. I’m at 14:13 at the moment, so have lost 4 pounds in just over a month. I’m finding it a lazy way to lose weight! Probably could pick it up a bit more, and probably will once the bank holiday is done with.

Ps. Work out maybe twice a week at moment as well
 
Been a very naughty boy of late. Drinking way too much :(

Went on a bit of a crazy 6 day straight drinking stint. On top on this I pretty much ate what I wanted. Not drank since Monday, which is good.

I have a addictive personality and need to learn when to stop. Really struggled since Monday with what I can only consider to be withdrawal symptoms from not drinking. Still getting heart palpitations to this day, hopefully will stop soon.
Not looking for sympathy in the slightest but only people I can share with as my friends are nightmares too.

In better news since my last post I’m actually down a pound. Currently 14:12.

Gonna try and focus for the next month, and hit gym hard. Let see how I do.

You can always come in here & vent or tell us how you feel. I love wine & find it hard to not have my 1/2 bottle at the end of the day. I know it affects my attempts at weight-loss. None of us are perfect!
 
Not updated this diary for a while. So a bit of a update!

Really in a good place at the moment, based in the U.K. so been in lockdown for close to 5 weeks now.

Not going to lie I defo had a “eat everything in the fridge“ week initially, but mellowed our now.

Fitness wise I try to run everyday, normally around 3 miles. I add in some weights at least 4 times a week as well.
Diet is now on point, but still the odd occasional urge as I’m working from home all day. This is made even harder by the fact I’m trying to stop drinking coffee at the same time.

The highlight though is I’m now 13:13 so defo still going down in weight. Really gonna channel my inner soldier and use the remainder of lockdown to get fitter and stronger.
