more weight lost when not dieting?

okay, i've noticed something kind of strange. it seems that when i'm not thinking about losing weight or concentrating on eating healthier, i look smaller...i can completely pig out, and look in the mirror and look like i'm smaller than usual.

i have no idea what's going on! is this normal at all? not only is it wierd, it's frustrating...does anyone else have this?

well, this whole week i've been trying to run every other day and eat healthier, but i stopped this weekend, and i look smaller (yes, as in better) today.

and i actually weigh more...waaah. is it all in my head?

All this within one week..? The looking different thing is pretty strange. It might be in your head, or maybe you are dehydrated which definitely makes you look leaner. Are you eating less frequently?

well, in 1 week, you could only really lose or gain 2 lbs of actual weight. anything beyond that is water retention (or loss), undigested food, and body waste that's not been excreted yet.

So, yeah, its in your head cuz in 1 week you won't see a change in the mirror.

I know what you mean. Try not to base anything (thoughts/feelings/programs) on one week's worth of working out and eating well.

Depending on how you used to eat/workout... this one week can casue your body to react differently than you're used to. Keep going with your routine and menu. See how you feel after a month (at least). Then adjust your menu or fitness routine based on those results.

When I eat junk food... I tend to "look better". But it's usually because I drink less liquid and have a dehydrated look. But eating healthy and often is going to be best for you in the long term.
