more stomach ails

I'm not getting nauseous during longer runs and spin class but it seems like I want to ralph after about a 1/2 an hr of intense activitiy. Drinking anything makes it worse. Its doesn't hurt it just feels like my stomach "cluches" and wants to empty. I eat about 2hrs before any serious activity and it has to be something bland.

Is it ok to go a good hr. or so of running or spinning without drinking or eating? A lot of the trainers at the club think i'm going to pass out or something without drinking something but i feel better without it.

PS I sweat like a beast
PSS I also cant eat for an hr or so afterward...but i can drink water and stuff fine.
 
I never drink during my workouts because like you I fell nauseus if I eat or dring anything during strenous activity or for a couple of hours before. Once your body gets used to it, it is not a problem as long as you take in enough fluids throughout the rest of the day. I like to eat a grapefruit right after a workout, it seems to have enough juice to start the re-hydrating process as well as other nutriants, kind of like natures own Gatoraid.
 
I tried this today....worked out at moderate intensity half an hr. on treadmil, backed down when i hit the "tummy clutch". Worked the abs (crunches and such) til it went away....then hit the spin class...voila....no clutch?

Yeah it worked , but just a little to intense...even for me.

Still could'nt eat or drink for a while though...
