A faster metabolism helps increase fat burning and eating frequently increases metabolism. Arguably, it can also make you gain weight and so it's somewhat of a double edge sword.
 
OLIVERB,if you eat the proper nutrition and know what your BMR is (basal metabolic rate) and understand your body type,you will not gain weight. BY knowing how many calories you should be taking in, verse how many you burn during exercise. IF you are trying to burn fat you will gain very little LBM because your calorie,s will be lower then maintanance. THERE are 3 body type,s ectomorp,mesomrph and endomorph, find the one that fits you and take it from there.
